Wehey!
Abolition of the Tsardom
Due to our defeat in the Great War, calls for reform would erupt throughout the country. As a result, a group known as the Българска националистическа партия (Bulgarian Nationalist Party in English) would rise up and take power, resulting in the complete axeing of the Tsardom. As a result, Bulgaria would now become a Representative Democracy, either a variety of political parties. The three largest ones would be:
Българска националистическа партия (Bulgarian Nationalist Party) - Believed that true power would only be achieved through the restoration of all ethnic Bulgarian territories, with claims being placed on each of these.
Социалдемократическа работническа партия (Social Democratic Workers' Party) - Believes in state-owned wealth and complete income equality. Very liberal, and hates capitalism, something which the BNP supports to some extent.
Монархически легион (Monarchic Legion) - Led by the former Tsar of Bulgaria in an attempt to restore the tsardom, but this time under an electoral monarchy, rather than a constitutional one, so people get a say.
There are many more, with a few extremist ones, but I won't go into too much detail.
We begin the liberation of the Croats and Bosniaks, while pushing for union with Montenegro into a new Yugoslav state. The south slavs of the west balkans (or really the non-bulgarian south slavs) are very similar to one another. Our similarities outweigh our differences, and a union of the Serbo-Croatians can not ever go wrong, right? Right? (yugoslav war footage from our timeline plays)
What do you think?
