The Prosperity of the People Act

With the election of a new president, the first law would be passed by the Timorese government, that would order the growth of the cities within the state. Tourism advertisements would be sent out across the world to our most luxurious district in the capital of Dili. From there, the money collected from services provided to the tourists would face a 35% tax, and we would make sure our services are of a high quality. From here, the money that would be taxed would be used to fund development for Dili itself and other cities across the state.

In addition, the prices of essential products/services would be decreased. These essentials would include:

• Drinking water

• Healthy food

• Electricity

• Central heating

• Medical services

• Access to clean, running water

• Education

• Transport

The Southeast Asian Prosperity Sphere

We wish to be a neutral force in this region, as war will only hurt our economy. To help in this goal, we have created the Southeast Asian Prosperity Sphere (SEAPS). SEAPS' goals include, but are not limited to:

-A unified currency

-Better living standards

-Peace across the region

We would like the Peninsular Republic and Timor-Embe to join.

As a country with considerable control over the Strait of Malacca, we will start developing our port cities to attract foreign investors and labourers.

The People's Response

@BeamAttackNewAccount's proposal definitely sounds beneficial, but also contains several downsides. While waiting for the response of Timor-Embe, ambassadors will be sent to both countries previously mentioned in order to improve our relations.

Unity Among the Malays

While the Peninsular Republic is home to most of the Malayan Race, there's still a lot of them outside of the region, notably in the Kra Isthmus, Sumatra, Java and Borneo islands. We wish to reach out to these people by establishing a community which protects them from any sort of mistreatment and unfairness.

The Government's Response

At a national summit in Dili, the top politicians would discuss about the given terms. Whilst extended development and peace across the region do sound good, the idea of a unified currency does not appeal to the government, fearing that if the economy crashes in one member state, then it the economy of Timor-Embe would be at risk too.

As a result, the people would be questioned regarding this too. They would also reject the idea of a unified currency, wanting to keep with the current one. The summit at Dili would end with a formal declaration to the people, saying that 2 out of the 3 terms would be accepted, with the unified currency term waiting to be negotiated with.
