So, me and my friend were playing (he was Mexico, I was Canada) and my friend became allied with this guy playing as the Dominican Republic. Cuba declares war on the Dominican Republic which drags my friend in. (admittedly, he isn't a super great player.) some things escalate (Cuba had a good navy) The united states had formed a faction with literally everyone except me and my friend. (including Cuba) and they joined the war. because I wasn't allies with the Dominican republic, I never joined the war. but I had declared war on Cuba because I needed to help my friend.
Now for the first question: is it against the rules to not allow a country to white peace when you aren't doing anything to fight them and they aren't doing anything either? (my friend left and I wanted to peace Cuba, but he wouldn't let me.)
Anyway, the USA invaded Mexico (my friend) after joining the war against the Dominican republic. I justified and declared war on the USA after he spent all his MP on infantry, took Washington DC and he quit. however, because I did this his entire faction joined the war against me. most of them wanted to peace me so they could do stuff on their own, but because they were in a faction they couldn't peace me. but I built a ton of subs off the coasts to stop any potential invasions.
This takes me to my second question: are there hacks that let you see submarines? one of the people in the USA's faction was Indonesia. He kept sending a single destroyer that would ride to the exact location of my subs and kill them. when I called him out he kept saying: "I'm just patrolling." and as far as I know, destroyers can't see submarines. (he wasn't that good of a player so it'd usually just span a single battleship and kill it,) but still, it was annoying and suspicious.
The rest of the game wasn't too interesting because I had to go soon after capturing all of America. (I couldn't peace him because he had a ton of territory in Mexico that my tanks were taking forever to capture.)
Anyway, that's the end of my ted talk.
