So far there are only 2 generals. @PanzerundLancer and @BritianForeverXD . But we are in need of more generals to handle invasions, especially in large scale battles. We will need at least 4 generals to handle stuff in invasions.

Can someone explain me what's the point of using them and how much better is a military with military leaders compared to one without them?

For example, could I assign my ships to an army group commanded by an Army General and still get buffs? Or does it need to be a Navy General?
Generals in Rise of Nations have always left me wondering how they get their names, what scripts Hyperant put in to apply them, so on. The names always appear to be local to your country, so you never get ''Henry Wallace'' as China or something like that.
Did Hyperant just pre-make several hundred names for each country to pick when a general is generated? Or are the names randomly generated from a plug in? Thinking about this hurts my head.
