I hate how politics isn't even an afterthought, I can't think about more than political features (policies, stability, events, war exhaustion, political power, politics research tree, and ideologies)
All of these political features would normally be enough for a war game, but they are executed so underwhelmingly that I think there should be an update where politics gets completely reworked
RON is still a war game, yes, but it really needs more depth
I don't want politics to be too complex, but it certainly is way too simple as it is
I just want some more replay value other than people slaving away at formables (this is why the game's youtube scene is dead)
Discuss some ideas for better execution of this stuff down below if you wanna
So I’m playing as Luxembourg, just about to form Benelux, when all of a sudden, the Afghanistan player declares war on every player except his lucky allies. This results in us losing stability and not being able to form, and the only way we could stop the war was by giving him money, about 500 million dollars, and I only had 230 million at that time, so I wasn’t able to do so. Afghanistan had anti aircrafts, entrenched troops, and scorched lands so we couldn’t attack him. We figured it was a scam so he could afford everything and be able to dominate us, so we didn’t pay. Luckily, India was a player, and he made muchos tanks, and the European nations (including me) sent all sorts of aircrafts. Soon Afghanistan is finished, but…
He then decided to play as Sweden, but luckily, Qing Dynasty (who had Russia and Finland already) was planning to invade Sweden. So he switches to the…

It was literally impossible to invade him, so I tried to make a faction as Antarctica. The reason for this is that if everyone in the server joined my faction, if the USA declared war on someone, they would have to go through me. And you know it’s painful. But for some reason, only Botswana joined the faction, so I just handed over the leadership and left.
War Spammer Alert
If you see a player named “NahhJayden”, watch his actions. If he does this same thing, that is the guy I talked about, and more than likely your best chance of getting rid of him is by report. Please watch out for him.
Thank you for your time.
So, I was thinking, this does kind of make the game a direct copy of HOI4, but it already was one just with different GUI and cities instead of tiles and states. So, maybe there can be political party support in your country, very similar to hoi4, except you can still change ideology. This is only there to show how many citizens want an ideology. Now, for stability, if you go under 40%, eventually civil wars and independence wars will start breaking out. In your colonies or territories, a rebel population will secede with 10% of that country's territory. Independence wars will be just like the ones for puppets, but can happen randomly when your stability gets low, and the country will declare independence and immediately you will be at war with them. Now, if someone funds rebels, it will increase the amount of territory a country gets when it secedes, going all the way up to 60%, depending on how much you pay for funding, yes thats right, I also have an idea for funding. So you can basically choose to spend within 100,000,000 - 2,000,000,000. Also, other countries can stage a coup in your country which depending on the funding (same amounts of money as before) they can get certain amount of territory. It will start a civil war between 2 ideologies. For instance, say USSR is staging a coup in germany and they are communist, and say germany is fascist. Part of germany will break away under your ideology after about 365 seconds or 1 ingame year, and you will immediately be in a war against the original germany with the communist germany as your ally. Also, staging a coup will cost 50 political power to start and 1 political power maintenance. You can also boost your party popularity, which if you do that for a while the civil war will happen sooner (can only go down to 200 days) If your political party popularity is at atleast 70%, it will only take 200 days for the civil war. Since ideological flags arent out yet, it'll just say Communist, Fascist, Democratic then the country's name. However, if you lose the civil war, you and the side you're supporting can face harsh terms due to everything being allowed just like Independence Wars. Also, if you're less than 20% stability the highest supported political party/ideology will declare war and secede from you, however unless supported with rebels, will only have 10% territory.
if you didnt notice i have -1 stab
the story behind this is i was trying to wait for my friend to come back and some south korean girl took my friend's empire and didnt give it back. so i just prepared since she was spamming so much shit near my border (i had 24k artillery in madrid and lots of ships lol) and she started losing so much. i lost the iberian penisula but still had my colonies and both of our war exhausts and stability were so bad that our lands starting declaring independence. i tried white peacing but do you really expect her to do that? no of course not, but nonetheless she still played and then finally left later.
so what can you learn from this? learn how to play the game and dont just spam crap like a qing dynasty player. oh yeah and the game was super laggy obviously
