@RedElephantKing So true, as a Mexican it was extremely shocking and terrifying to see that he won after saying all of that.
This will probably be extremely controversial, especially with this being an election year, but I don't really give a crap.
My essay:
Many remember 2016 as a pretty good year, and I wholeheartedly agree. Except in Mid-November. America had been doing well under Obama up to that point, with a few hiccups here and there, but it was an overall good presidency. Then came 2016. The Democratic Nomination: Hillary Clinton was a crook, marred by corruption and scandals who only got there because of party corruption. The Republican nomination: Donald Trump, a far-right billionaire, and man-child who went a little bit off the deep end of ideology. Yet still better than Clinton to moderate, swing-state voters. And he won, shattering the "blue wall" that seemed impenetrable up to that point. He won big, 306 - 227 electoral votes. And on January 12th, 2017, he became President of the US.
My 2 main reasons for disliking Trump are as follows: His broken promises and mishandling of his presidency:
Broken promises are exactly what they sound like: promises he made during his campaign that he failed to accomplish during his time in the Oval Office. His big promise he made was to stop "Mexico sending us rapists and thieves," which is not true at all and a fiery way of saying that he wanted to stop illegal immigration which is at least somewhat reasonable. But the way he attempted to accomplish this was ineffective and horrifying. He attempted to build a massive wall that was supposed to span the entire border but didn't even span half. Mexicans, Central & South Americans, and many others flooded in from the massive unguarded and unwalled sections of the border. Cartels and criminals still managed to enter, even through the walled sections, and when he made his promise to build the wall he said "...and we will make Mexico pay for it," to which Mexico never paid a dime for its construction. Overall, his promises are mostly fraudulent and I could bring up a few more examples but the post would get quite long, so I digress.
To say that Trump mishandled his position as President of the United States is quite fair, especially during his later years. A prime example is his "handling" of the Covid-19 pandemic. He called Covid a hoax and spread conspiracy theories about it. Over 1M Americans died from the pandemic, and many of those deaths could have been prevented if he tried to handle the pandemic in the beginning. Another example is how he handled losing to Biden in 2020. During the election, he repeatedly spread misinformation about the election, encouraged his supporters to harm Biden voters, convinced many states with governors loyal to him to make it as hard as possible to vote, called for the election to end early, demanded votes either stop being counted or to be recounted depending on if he was losing, or lost a state, and was an overall brat during the election. And guess what? He lost the election by a SLIM margin after all of that. And his reaction? Instead of gracefully handing over the presidency to Biden, or at least not being a jerk about it, he called the election fraudulent in many speeches after the election, and his supporters stormed the Capitol building on January 6th.
And after all of that, it seems half the country wants to vote for him A THIRD TIME and see his draconian social and economic laws come to fruition.
All in all, the country is kinda cooked if he gets to be president again, and I don't have any hate whatsoever to any people who support him so long as you aren't bullying others who don't. Thanks for listening to my rant ig.
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
@The5thPentagonMade Egypt is a slightly watered-down version of Tunisia. You get 491,627,390 base core population
Close, but only 464,438,927 base core population.
@Dingtrf Spanish Empire only has 271,853,628 base core population
We all know that Mongolia gets the most core population for a single nation without assimilating. But for a bit (before I did my calculations) I believed (for some weird reason) that the title actually belonged to Tunisia. Here's my reasoning: Tunisia has 5 formables: The Arab League, Islamic Caliphate, African Union, Carthage, and the Hafsid Dynasty. Four of these formables alone can provide a staggering population for a small country like Tunisia. If you combine their core populations all together, you get 514,303,361 base core population. For reference, the Mongol Empire gives you 687,500,717 base core population. So there you have it. Little Tunisia can get to be quite strong if you're good enough (To which I'm not). But hey, maybe you can bring Tunisia to its destined greatness in Rise of Nations! For the math nerds who want to critique my calculations, they're right below:
Tunisia = 4,843,173
African Union - Arab countries = 269,701,880 - 62,507,422 = 207,194,458
Islamic Caliphate - Tunisia = 284,432,932 - 4,843,173 = 279,589,759
Carthage Territories - (Spain + Arab Countries) = 22,675,971
4,843,173 + 207,194,458 + 279,589,759 + 22,675,971 = 514,303,361
(Numbers indicate base population)

@Suomi932192 They're talking about updates in that period. Like how communism got nuked in the last couple updates.
There's a new leader clued the Chief Judge. Deals with corruption and gives base stability in exchange for Political Power.

Uhhh
Mine is FLOAT for some reason, it always is in my head when I think about the game. Probably because I've formed lots of hard formable with it playing in the background, which is an interesting coincidence
I generally only do it if I'm guaranteed to be at peace for a while
@Dingtrf that wasn't the point. I just posted something I noticed in my game that I thought was interesting. I didn't post this as a joke or something.
