Hey guys, this seems like a ridiculous number which is why I wanted to confirm, but after doing some maths, this is what I came up with.
10k infantry with full xp (x3 atk x3 def) entrenched in jungle (x3.25 def) mountains (x6 def) with jungle specialisation (x1.5 atk) and fully researched (x1.9 atk x1.35 def) gets a 675x modifier, which means that they can take down 6.75m infantry with none of the benefits.
This did NOT include forts or generals or doctrines.
Assumptions:
1. Troop number influences total health and not attack (I.e. 100k vs 10k will leave behind 90k, and 100k vs 50k will leave behind 50k troops)
2. Battle occurs quick enough for the enemy infantry not to get entrenched or xp (self-explanatory)
3. There is no concept of troop efficiency (5 divisions of 10k deal as much damage as 1 division of 50k)
If all the assumptions are correct, 10k infantry defeat 6.75m as above. If only the first assumption is false, this comes down to square root of x675, or x26, so 10k infantry barely defeat 260k infantry. If only the 2nd assumption is false, we can use calculus but Idk the damage rates with respect to time, so we can say a modifier of x675 for the 1st 2 weeks, and a modifier of x34.5 after entrenchment.
I'm not sure about the xp bonus, and I also didn't include forts etc. So this is a very crude figure, but it is very absurd nevertheless and I want a 2nd take on this.
