This is India strat I always use:

Put soldiers near Bangladesh and Pakistan

Train soldiers to assert dominance that you're not a sh*t India player.

Conquer them both, preferrably with infantry, because tanks are too expensive for nations like Bangladesh, maybe Pakistan tho

At this point of the game, you must level up research of economy, research and stability technology tree, turn on tax reform, and ally China. If China's bad and you think you can take them on then do that

Then take Afghanistan and Bhutan while getting consumer goods and better stability technology. If you don't, that's alright, just chill for a while while you get better technology tree for the very lucrative price of free

Then take Sri Lanka

After that train soldiers a tiny bit more and rush Nepal.

Form Maurya Empire, you now get a not-that-accurate epileptic flag and more importantly, get cores on Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Pakistan and Nepal, and 10% more stability (very important as a democracy).

If Japan or China has not taken over Burma then do it yourself to get a strategic outpost in South-East Asia and a gateway to East Asia.

Then, ally the United States.

Of course, making a navy is very important as India, now you have the money. Make a couple of submarines, destroyers, and battleships, and two frigates, make an aircraft carrier if you like.

Delete all of your land units ONLY, turn on specialization, make max number of soldiers, and after you've clicked it turn back to balanced/massed attack. After doing this, you might have a 5-6 million strong army, and your rivals will sh*t their pants looking at those thick armies

Make a good air force by buying bulk aircraft parts from AI

I usually do not change conscription law, but if you want to go a more military based approach turn on limited conscription law.

At this point, you can stay democratic OR choose Fascism/Communism, but I usually stay democratic, least I can go is liberalism.

Use AI baiting tactic on Iran, take over Tehran and rush. If Iran is a player then either ally or attack when their guard's down.

Expand in South East Asia

Rush Madagascar if it isn't taken already.

Take Middle East for oil, preferrably UAE and Oman, but take Saudi Arabia if you want to.

Ally/destroy the strongest power in Europe

Develop cities and build recruitment centers and chill and talk in chat.

China may have collapsed, or gone AI. Even it they're a player, you can now destroy China with ease with 5K tanks and 6 million men with good navy

Rush Turkey and it's possessions and do many trades

Take UK for a little bit of trolling and tomfoolery

Finally rest, as you have become the #1 world superpower, in economy, military, and tech support.

This is kind of bad but it usually works give this a try if you want.

REJECT EVERY TRADE EXCEPT IRON AND MOTOR PARTS (jk do what ever you want that is just what I do)
