The Austrian Empire is a formable of Austria requiring territories held by the Austrian Empire in 1815, that being Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, and Romania.

It had a royal house called “The Habsburgs” which ruled three countries: The Austrian Empire, the Holy Roman Empire, and the Spanish Empire.

It was added on the 30th of January and is mutually exclusive with the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Background

The Austrian Empire was a Central European multinational great power from 1804 to 1867, created by proclamation out of the realms of the Habsburgs. During its existence, it was the third most populous empire after the Russian Empire and the United Kingdom in Europe. Along with Prussia, it was one of the two major powers of the German Confederation. Geographically, it was the third largest empire in Europe after the Russian Empire and the First French Empire (621.538 square kilometers; 239,977 square mi). Proclaimed in response to the First French Empire, it partially overlapped within the Holy Roman Empire until the latter's dissolution in 1806.

The Kingdom of Hungary—as Regnum Independence—was administered by its own institutions separately from the rest of the empire. After Austria was defeated in the Austro-Prussian War of 1866, the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867 was adopted, ending solo-Austrian reign and reforming the Empire, uniting the Kingdom of Hungary and the Austrian Empire to form the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

The Austrian Empire's economy stands at an oddly low at around 1.14 million dollars (50% stability and standard 20.000 starting troops) which does push it far up the rankings up to 29th place above Peru, but below Canada. The manpower for the Austrian Empire is also quite low for a nation of its size. standing at 424.472, with an increase of around 1.540 manpower (without conscription laws or recruitment centers)

Austria's western and eastern borders are shielded by the Alps and the Carpathian Mountains, giving it substantial defense. The south is shielded by the Dinaric Alps, which are hilly in-game. The only flat terrain in the empire would be in Inner Austria, Hungary, Slavonia, and Bohemia.

Biome

The only biome the Austrian Empire has is the Mild Winter biome, which only appears in December-January. for the rest of the year, it is just the normal biome. To prepare for the times where it does snow, it is recommended to train units for Winter Specialization.

Strategy

Once you become Austria, your biggest threat is Germany attempting to take you early on. Make 2 electronics, motor and steel Factories. Make some allies, the best allies for you are the United Kingdom, France, Russia and Italy. You should justify on Slovenia and the Czech Republic first. Once your electronic factories have made a notable amount, sell them to AI. After you establish trades, it's time to make tanks. Make at least 1k tanks and buy 5 oil from some nations. If Germany declares war, bring France or the United Kingdom to the war. If they decline or ignore the invite, then your chances of survival are minimal. If Germany has not attacked yet, or they are dealt with, annex Slovenia and Croatia to prevent Italy from getting them. After that you can focus on Hungary first, then Romania. Romania is Usually AI, making that part easier.

But wait, there is unfortunately more to this. You see, Italy has 2 cities that belong to you. You need these cities to form the Austrian Empire. How do you get them? Well, there are 2 ways you can obtain them, either being through diplomacy, or through war if Italy is A.I.

• Romania trying to form the Kingdom of Dacia.
• Germany and France trying to form the Frankish Empire or the Napoleonic Empire.

• The Austrian Empire, has a lower in-game population than Taiwan, despite being 6x larger.
• The Austrian Empire used to own Belgium durring the Closing years of the Habsburg Era, & French Revolutionary wars, eventually losing it to France in 1795 after the Battle of Fleurus in 1794.
