The Austro-Hungarian Empire is a formable for 
Austria and 
Hungary. It is located in Europe 
. Once formed, if playing as Austria, you cannot form the mutually exclusive 
Austrian Empire. Likewise for Hungary, but with the 
Kingdom of Hungary and the considered 
Hunnic Empire. When forming it in a public server, you attain the Archduke title.

Economy and Manpower[]
The Austro-Hungarian Empire has a population of 22,732,288 people, giving the empire a 454,645 manpower cap. It is not big, but if managed correctly can be a good army supply. The economy generates around 1,305,196 million dollars, with most of that money coming from taxes. This economy isn't exactly suitable, since great powers like 
Russia or outsiders like the 
United States might come for you as another edition to their landmass.

Geography[]
Terrain[]
The terrain of the empire consists of Mountainous terrain in the Austrian panhandle and 
Slovakia. There are Hilly areas in 
Bosnia and Herzegovina, the eastern panhandle of 
Croatia, 
Slovenia, northwestern 
Romania, and Styria, and Carinthia. The rest is flat.
Biome[]
Aside from the normal biome, there are no permanent biomes in the formable. It does have the Mild Winter, which covers the entire empire during December-January. Like stated previously, before and after the months mentioned, it is just the normal biome.
Threats[]
Germany has a high chance of taking you because they want to expand their landmass.- Poland, if its sovereignty is secured may form Zapadoslavia, and could possibly go after Austria or Hungary next.
- Ukraine if they expand westward.
- Turkey might keep expanding north through the Balkans for population and land.
- Italy wanting Central Europe for themselves.
- Any European nation wanting to form the European Union.
- Romania may threaten you if they form the Kingdom of Dacia.
- If playing as Austria, the Czech Republic could be a threat if it wants to form the Kingdom of Bohemia.
- If an option as a formable, a nation wanting to form the Ostrogothic Kingdom.
- Any Balkan nation expanding.
Strategy[]
Playing as Hungary is not recommended for new players, despite having more population due to their economy being not on par with Austria. Avoid Hungary unless you want a challenge.
As Austria[]
With the removal of the 
German Reich, your existence might be more guaranteed, unless 
Germany just wants your lands, which is common. If so, defend against Germany using artillery and entrench your troops in the Mountainous regions. If you survived, annex Hungary, 
Czech Republic, then after that, Slovakia. Make sure 
Poland or Germany does not have the Czech Republic or Slovakia. After, getting Slovenia (Note: Slovenia is usually annexed in the early-game due to its proximity with 
Italy), Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. After that, declare war on Romania, they shouldn't be annexed by Russia, or anyone else. If they are, declare on them, and try using defense tactics to defend off their attacks, then rush the capital.
If you're missing a city, ask the nation who owns it to cede it, for money or manpower if required. Use diplomacy rather than conflict in this situation.
As Hungary[]
Once you join the game, build electronic factories to produce electronics and sell them to AI nations for money. This will give you a needed financial boost for your economy in the early game, allowing you to build up an army. Invade Austria as quick as you can before Germany or other nations take it. After that you should direct your attention to the Czech Republic and Slovakia. before other nations threaten to take it. If Slovenia is taken by Italy, use diplomacy to get it or if you are skilled enough, invade Italy. You should now declare war on the 3 nations left, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania.
If you are lucky and there are no nations that pose a threat during your expansion, congratulations. You have restored the Austro-Hungarian Empire after its shameful dissolution!
Trivia[]
- Austria-Hungary had no official national flag. The one in-game and the one popularly used is a civil ensign.[1]
- Austria-Hungary is currently the second exclusive formable. To explain, when you form Austria-Hungary, you can't form the Austrian Empire or the Kingdom of Hungary, and vice versa. The first exclusive formables were the Soviet Union and the Russian Empire.
