The Neo-Babylonian Empire, also known as the Chaldean Empire, was a significant period in ancient Mesopotamian history that lasted from approximately 626 BCE to 539 BCE. It marked the revival and expansion of Babylon as a major power in the region.
The Neo-Babylonian Empire emerged under the rule of King Nabopolassar, who rebelled against the ruling Assyrians and established Babylon's independence in 626 BCE. However, it was under the reign of his son, Nebuchadnezzar II, that the empire reached its zenith. Nebuchadnezzar II (604-562 BCE) is considered the most famous and influential ruler of the Neo-Babylonian Empire. He undertook extensive campaigns to expand Babylon's territory, reclaiming lands that had previously belonged to the Assyrians and other neighboring kingdoms. Nebuchadnezzar II captured and destroyed Jerusalem in 586 BCE, leading to the Babylonian exile of the Jewish people. The Neo-Babylonian Empire was known for its impressive architectural and engineering achievements. Nebuchadnezzar II embarked on an ambitious building program, reconstructing and expanding the city of Babylon. One of the most famous structures associated with this period is the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The empire was a center of cultural and intellectual activity. Babylon became renowned for its advancements in astronomy, mathematics, and literature. The Babylonians made notable contributions to the study of astronomy, developing a sophisticated system of celestial observations and creating accurate astronomical records. The Neo-Babylonian Empire came to an end in 539 BCE when it was conquered by the Persian Empire under Cyrus the Great. The Persians incorporated Babylon into their vast empire, and the city lost its status as the capital. However, Babylon continued to be an important cultural and commercial center in the following centuries. |
Strategy[]
Kuwait: Justify a war goal then destroy their home guard with artillery or other methods and use 40k infantry to take their 3 cities.
Jordan: Use the same method that you used with conquering Kuwait, but more artillery and/or infantry will be needed.
Israel: Justify a war goal then destroy the Israeli home guard with artillery and capture their capital, occupy their territory quickly before their stability drops too low.
Lebanon: Use the same method as Kuwait.
Syria: Justify a war goal, destroy their home guard and conquer their land before the Turkish.
If you can set up alliances with your neighbours, conquering the required nations will be easy.
Threats[]
Of course, Iraq has some difficult threats to go against with forming this:
Turkey,
Iran,
Saudi Arabia and
Egypt. are probably going to need the nations that are involved within this formable, as they usually start larger and Saudi Arabia has enough oil for tanks.
France and the
United Kingdom wanting to form their empire.
