The Lower Canada Rebellion, also known as the Patriotes Rebellion, was an armed uprising that took place in the colony of Lower Canada (present-day Quebec, Canada) from 1837 to 1838. It was a part of a larger series of rebellions known as the Rebellions of 1837–1838, which also occurred in Upper Canada (present-day Ontario).
The rebellion in Lower Canada was triggered by a combination of political, economic, and social grievances. The French-speaking majority in Lower Canada felt marginalized and oppressed by the English-speaking minority, who held most of the political and economic power. There were also frustrations with the colonial government's corruption, patronage, and lack of representation. In November 1837, the rebellion began with a series of protests and clashes between the Patriotes (reformist and nationalist rebels) and the British authorities. The Patriotes, led by Louis-Joseph Papineau, sought political reforms, including responsible government and greater French-Canadian representation. The rebellion escalated into armed conflict in December 1837, with the Patriotes organizing militias and engaging in skirmishes with British forces. However, the rebellion was ultimately suppressed by the British military and loyalist militias. The Battle of Saint-Eustache in December 1837 and the Battle of Saint-Charles in November 1838 were among the major military confrontations during the rebellion. Following the defeat of the rebellion, many Patriotes were arrested, and some were executed or exiled. The British government responded to the uprising by implementing the Durham Report, which recommended the union of Upper and Lower Canada into a single province, known as the Province of Canada. This union took place in 1841. |

Conquering Canada[]
Play as Canada and justify liberation war at
Saint Pierre and Miquelon, play as
Quebec and do some starting moves, build 3 electronic, 2 steel, 1 motor, 3 civilian, 1 fertilizer and 3 mines. Declare at Canada and capture the needed city and after his entire land (be fast or else the releasables can be independent), but there's a problem,
USA will form
North American Union before you are doing this, and if they don't wanna form, ally with him if he accepts and join the war against Canada (if necessary) and let USA take the entire land. and after this, Congrats! You formed
Bas-Canada by conquering Canada!
Conquering Newfoundland and Labrador[]
Play as Canada and justify liberation war at
Saint Pierre and Miquelon, and then play as
Quebec, build recruitment centers and develop cities (infrastructure if necessary) or ask for manpower in the chat. Build:
- 3/4k troops (Labrador tile and two cities from Newfoundland island)
- 5/6k troops (Saint John's)
Train Winter Specialisation and justify and declare at Newfoundland and Labrador, and move the troops and conquer the cities listed above.
After doing it, You formed
Bas-Canada.
Threats[]

Trivia[]
- For a brief time, because of formatting issues, you could form Bas-Canada without owning any land outside of
Quebec.
- In the process of fixing this, as of 2/21, the formable only requires one city from
Canada, meaning you can form it without owning Quebec itself.
