Roblox Rise of Nations Wiki

Bermuda is a Tier I Nation located in the Atlantic Sea near North America. Bermuda has a 2.5x experience boost which makes it great for XP grinding. Bermuda is rarely seen as a player because of its isolation and the fact that it is a single-city country.

Background[]

Bermuda is a fairly isolated set of islands in the Atlantic Ocean around 650 miles east of the coast of North Carolina. There are seven main islands and several more smaller islands. The main islands are all close enough to be connected by bridges and are usually referred to together as the Island of Bermuda.

The islands were first discovered by Juan de Bermudez in 1503. Juan was a Spanish explorer and, although the island is named after him he didn't attempt to land on the islands because of the dangerous reef.

Over 100 years later in 1609, George Somers was leading a group of colonists from England when they were shipwrecked on Bermuda. They found the island to be uninhabited. They were stranded there for 10 months. When they returned and told stories of the beautiful island, King James decided to extend the Charter of the Virginia Company to include it in 1612. That same year the city of St. George was founded by the first colonists from England. Today St. George is the oldest continuously inhabited English-speaking settlement in the Western Hemisphere.

In 1620, Bermuda became a self-governing colony. Some slaves were brought to Bermuda at the start. In 1807 the slave trade was abolished and existing slaves were freed in 1834. As a result, over half of Bermuda's current population is of African descent.

Strategy[]

As the player is an island nation, they must get Electronics (through an electronic factory and buying 2 copper and 2 gold) and trade the electronics to AI nations. Now, it is recommend that the player goes and conquers more island nations in the Caribbean, either that or try to conquer a nation below Mexico for more MP gain and cities for factories. It can also easily expand to the Guiana nations if they had not been conquered.

If the player conquered a nation below Mexico:

- Start preparing for a war with Mexico.
- Build forts, they are useful for defensive combat.
- Get a decent navy, this is for when Mexico tries to use the Capital Sniping strategy.

Once Mexico declares war, the player MUST be defensive and exhaust their MP and money, this is the key to win any fight as a island nation. If the player is successful at conquering Mexico, the next threat will be the United States. At this point the player is on their own.

If the player ends up conquering more island nations:

- Start trying to build a naval net, this can give the player naval superiority.
- Start trying to get a bigger country, most likely in South America, such as Venezuela or Colombia.

At this point this strategy can't document everything that will happen after this point, since many things can happen. The player is on their own now.

However if they had not been invaded, their options for expansion would be further expansion into South America, Central America, Mexico, even the United States. If they want to go farther, they could conquer nations like Portugal, Morocco, Western Sahara, etc.
