Canada is a Tier IV nation located in North America . The country is well-known for being one of the most prominent and capable nations within the continent due to its vast network of populated cities, starts with a sizable landmass embodied with temporary and unchanging biomes, and produces a variety of natural resources.
However, despite Canada being comprised with many welfare and strategic advantages, it is mostly dominated by its neighbor, the United States.
Background[]
Canada is a well-known nation in real life and has a history which starts around the 16th century during European colonization.
The lands which now make up Canada were once uninhabited, save for the diverse fauna and flora found in the region. Though many different theories do exist on how exactly people, whom we refer to as the First Nations nowadays, arrived in the American continent, a popular theory is that nomads fled from modern-day Siberia and The French would become the first major European colonial powers in Canada. Inspired by the The period from the beginning of the War of the Spanish Succession to the end of the Napoleonic Wars is sometimes referred to as the “Second Hundred Years War” due to an abundance of conflict between the French and the British. New France didn’t bring as much profit to the French as did the West and East Indies, and as such it received less attention from the French then did those colonies. Oftentimes, New France was used as a bargaining chip by the French to get something from the British. For example, in the War of the Spanish Succession, France ceded Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and the Hudson’s Bay to the British in exchange for the Spanish throne. A group of French subjects in Nova Scotia, known as the Acadians, now found themselves British, and they were given the choice to stay in Nova Scotia and maintaining their culture and religion (only having to swear loyalty to the British crown) or moving back to France. Many Acadians weren’t happy having to swear loyalty to a Protestant Monarch, but they stayed and Great Britain considered these Acadians a security risk. Tensions between the British and the French would manifest into several conflicts in the colonies and Europe The United Kingdom's preservation, and even expansion, of Québécois and Native lands within British Americas was a lead cause of the American War for Independence. In this war, the Americans tried to seize the province of
Quebec for themselves in the war but failed at the Battle of Quebec. The Americans would win their independence in the end, yet not everyone in the newly formed
After the American War for Independence,
the United Kingdom divided Canada into Upper Canada and Lower Canada. The former was inhabited by those loyal to the British crown who fled from the United States, while the latter was inhabited by the Québécois. Both, however, were run by undemocratic, British-appointed governors who were out of touch with their populace. In 1837, revolts sprung up against British rule in Canada. In Lower Canada, a man known as Joseph Papineau led a group known as the Patriotes. In Upper Canada, a man known as William Lyon Mackenzie proclaimed the Republic of Canada' Both rebel movements attempted to get American support, yet the United States would stay neutral in this conflict. The rebellion didn’t have much support from the locals, and the professional British garrison in Canada was able to beat back the rebels. The United Kingdom, however, decided to concede democratic reforms in the Canadas and united the two into the Province of Canada, which would be subdivided into Canada East (modern-day Quebec) and Canada West (modern Ontario). The Province of Canada would have self-governance, and this too would be brought to neighboring colonies in the region. Thirty years after the rebellions, the Province of Canada, colony of Nova Scotia and colony of New Brunswick would unite to form the Dominion of Canada, which would become a “nation within the Canada would follow the United Kingdom in the First World War, and it would be here that Canada begins to develop an independent national identity. Canada would play a key role in the conflict, particularly in the fields of Canada, despite having a rough relationship with the United States in both of their early histories, eventually decided to become a close ally of the United States. Canada would join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and would play a key role fighting North Korea and her allies in the Korean War. Canada took an active role in United Nations Peacekeeping Operations such as that in the Congo. Though Canada would play an instrumental role in global affairs during the Cold War, many important events would happen internally. In 1965, Canada would replace their historic Canadian Red Ensign with the iconic Maple Leaf flag (though the Union Jack would become the Royal flag of Canada) in an effort to keep Quebec French population from voting for Quebec to secede from Canada. In 1982, Canada would gain complete De Jure Independence from the United Kingdom. The Canada Constitution Acts would prevent Britain from passing laws on behalf of Canada, and though Queen Elizabeth II still retained power in Canada, her title of “Queen of Canada” gave her power in Canada. Despite gradual steps to complete Independence, the Francophone Quebec population wanted to secede from Canada. In 1980, an Independence referendum was held, though it was largely unsuccessful. Canada still wasn’t out of the woods yet, as it faced the risk of joining the Shortly after Canada survived the Twentieth Century, it faced another challenge with the War on Terror. During the attacks of September 11, 2001, Canada aided Americans in need, and Canada would join the |

Geography[]

Canadian terrain
Terrain[]
Canada's terrain is not too diverse, but it's landscapes are mostly rugged with Semi-Mountainous in southern British Columbia or southwest Canada, while Hilly is found in its northernmost regions.
BIome[]
Canada has the recurring Arctic biome in the north while the rest of its lands are covered with no distinct biome. However, during the exclusive months of November and February, the biome transitions to to Mild Winter, while in the deeper months of winter, such as December to January, Severe Winter is a commonplace throughout Canada.
Borders[]
Canada shares an international border with only two countries, those two being the United States and Saint Pierre and Miquelon.
Cities[]
Canada has a total of 128 cities and 6 cities surpassing one million population. With all cities combined, it sums the country's total population to 22,951,330,
Canada's biggest city is Toronto, with a base population of 5,123,000 people, while its capital city is Ottawa.
Politics[]
Ideology[]
Canada begins with the Non-Aligned ideology.
Formable[]

Territory of the North American Union.
Canada only has one formable, that being the North American Union.
Releasables[]
Canada currently has seven releasables.
Threats[]
Due to Canada being a feasible option for prone invasion as it is required for a couple of formables and holds many national interests, it is mainly challenged by its international neighbors and/or external powers.
- The
United States or
Mexico requires Canada to form the
North American Union.
- The
United Kingdom may colonize Canada to unify the
British Empire.
Alberta or
Saskatchewan if released might try to form
West Canada.
Strategy[]
Canada can be somewhat difficult to play if the United States wants to conquer you, but can be resisted when playing smart maneuvers.
Many of your starting moves will be focused towards defending yourself in case of a United States invasion, if you manage to get an alliance with the U.S. then switch to the colonial empire tutorial.
American - Canadian War[]
Notes[]
- Move towards communism during the war against the United States, you will need it for the manpower boost and decreased war exhaustion.
- Try to also get the Massed Attack doctrine during the war.
- You can also have a minor force take over small countries such as
Saint Pierre and Miquelon, islands in the Caribbean Sea, or
Greenland and seize their treasury.
- If possible, during the war, create a steel and motor factory and trade all the resources you need to sustain them.
- Create as many electronics factories as possible, you will need them to sustain your war effort.
If the United States Accepts Your Alliance[]
- Enact the Improved Infrastructure policy.
- Construct only one of each factories: electronic, motor,
Steel, and fertilizer.
- Invade the country of Saint Pierre and Miquelon in order to gain quick 80M - 100M cash.
- Construct multiple Civilian Factories with the spare cash, and other factories that help support the
Consumer Goods.
- Once a healthy flow of Consumer Goods starts appearing, begin selling them to superpowers or regional powers, notable countries such as
India,
Brazil,
Japan,
Pakistan,
South Africa,
Indonesia, and more. This will help skyrocket your economy to a ~10 million income.
- With a flourishing economy, set Government Spending to Medium/High and Research Spending to Medium.
- Use all your research points on the research branch, in the technology tree.
- Switch your army doctrine to "Massed Attack".
- Switch to the "Empire Formation" tutorial.
If the United States Declines Your Alliance[]
- Enact the Improved Infrastructure policy.
- Research Factory Output 2, then focus on the Research branch.
Also purchase an Aircraft Manufactory.
- With a flourishing economy, set Government Spending and Research Spending to Low/Medium.
- Fortify and entrench tanks on your capital and other major cities.
- Start justifying countries in Central America, the Caribbean, and South America, then transport the infantry with escort ships.
- Switch your naval doctrine to "Capital Fleet".
- By using the trade revenue, start building a naval fleet in the Great Lakes, as well as 3,000 - 6,000 tanks in your military stockpile.
- If you have time before USA declares war, try taking over a weaker nation in Asia
or the Indian Ocean that has 6 or more cities, like
Sri Lanka,
Burma,
Madagascar, or
United Arab Emirates. This will make it harder for the United States to force peace, as they will have to spend a lot of money/resources transporting units to your colony.
War Preparation[]

You should place your aircraft carrier in the area marked by the green circle.
Most of your war preparations have been completed previously, however you must now actually create your units. Create 1 aircraft carrier in the area marked in the picture and recruit more than 2,000 tanks and move towards in your capital.
The War[]
It's time for war! Make sure you have had enough time to do most of the things states previously otherwise you're likely going to be annexed.
- If you haven't made your aircraft carrier yet, don't let the Americans take the city that you build it in at all costs.
- Wait until all of America's troops have died, and then if you have made your steel and motor factory during the war, you should then use tanks to retake your eastern lands.
- Once your important core lands in the east have been retaken, take over
New England and create a small navy of 1 battleship and 1 destroyer to bombard the American capital.
- Once all the troops in their capital are gone, take over the capital and sweep the rest of the Americans and make them Canadian!
- While you are waiting for the
United States to collapse, you can delete your aircraft carrier if the United States does not pose a threat anymore and create a colonial empire!
Colonial Empire[]
Canada's main expansion option is colonizing outside its continent, so you should establish easy footholds to colonize other nations. There are endless possibilities, this is just a guide.
Best places to colonize after securing an alliance with the United States
Guinea, West Africa
Sierra Leone, West Africa
Denmark, West Europe
Ireland, West Europe
Morocco, North Africa
Senegal, West Africa
Malaysia, Asia
Cambodia, Asia
Angola, Southern Africa
- Central America or South America, places such as
Cuba,
Venezuela, and
Panama
Trivia[]
- Canada is the largest country in North America, however most of its lands in the north are sparsely populated, meanwhile most of its population is situated in the most southern cities, near the American - Canadian border, where 50% of all Canadians live.
- Canada and the United States has the longest international border in the entire game and in real life.
- Canada ranks #1 in ice hockey.
- Canada has the most amount of lakes in the world.
- Canada has (supposedly. This could change when we get better at measuring stuff like this) the longest coastline in the world, the only thing rivaling it would be Russia, but most of russia's coast is covered by ice, so it does not count.
- Insulin is a Canadian invention, even if Romania claims to have invented it first (probably not the first working prototype of it though)
- Canada,
Australia,
New Zealand and are the only nations to have not fought in a civil war against
British Empire to gain their independence.
- Canada and
Denmark fought over Hans island in peacefully by giving whisky to each other in 1984. The war ended in the year 2022 due to the Russian - Ukrainian war.
