Pan-Celticism (Irish: Pan-Cheilteachas, Scottish Gaelic: Pan-Cheilteachas, Breton: Pan-Keltaidd, Welsh: Pan-Geltaidd, Cornish: Pan-Keltaidd, Manx: Pan-Cheltaghys), also known as Celticism or Celtic nationalism is a political, social and cultural movement advocating solidarity and cooperation between Celtic nations (both the Brythonic and Gaelic branches) and the modern Celts in Northwestern Europe. Some pan-Celtic organisations advocate the Celtic nations seceding from the United Kingdom and France and forming their own separate federal state together, while others simply advocate very close cooperation between independent sovereign Celtic nations, in the form of Breton, Cornish, Irish, Manx, Scottish, and Welsh nationalism.
Economy & Manpower[]
The Celtic League has an MP capacity of 131K and has an income of $578,269.
Geography[]
Terrain[]
The Celtic League's land in Wales and
Cornwall is Hilly.
Scotland and
Ireland is Semi-Mountainous and Hilly.
Galicia is Hilly.
Biome[]
The Celtic League has no permanent biome. However, in the formable's British Isles territory, there are seasonal winters. In November and February, all of Scotland and the island of Ireland's 2 northernmost tiles experience Mild Winter. In December and January, the aforementioned territories transition to Severe Winter. Also in these months, the rest of the island of Ireland has Mild Winter.
Borders[]
The Celtic League borders the United Kingdom,
Spain,
Portugal and
France. If the UK and Spain have all their releasables independent then the Celtic League will border
Northumbria,
Mercia and
Asturias.
Cities[]
The Celtic League has 38 cities, only 2 of which are squared.
Strategy[]
Ireland is the recommended nation to play to form the Celtic League. The strategies below are made for Ireland.
Pre-War Tactics[]
Spain,
France and the UK are all stronger countries than you, yet you need their land. The first thing you should do is try to form an alliance with nations such as
Germany or
Russia. Next, start trading with AI nations for resources (oil is recommended as you'll need a good navy). Build a recruitment center in your capital.
Spawn at least 1 destroyer and extra infantry. Justify a war against the UK. If you still have enough money, fortify your cities near Northern Ireland. Submarines should be built in case the UK has a navy to counter your assualt.
Taking Britain[]
The United Kingdom, despite its larger military and economy, should be the first nation you attack. After placing your destroyers between Northern Ireland and the UK, declare war. Take the cities in Northern Ireland and wait for British troops to cross the Irish Sea. Your destroyers should eradicate the enemy troops once they get into the water.
After defeating the UK's military, take the rest of the nation slowly and cautiously. Avoid taking square cities as they will hurt your troops. If the UK still is resisting, use your destroyers and entrenchment to counter their troops.
After taking the majority of the nation, select all the cities in the annexation option and end the war. Justify a conquest war against Spain. Build tanks if you have enough resources and factories for them.
The Irish Inquisition[]
Place your navy between the Canary Islands and the Spanish mainland and declare war. Take the
Canary Islands and defeat the Spanish military via the same tactics as Britain. Take
Galicia before taking the rest of
Spain -- and when you do take
Spain make sure to exercise the same caution as you did in the
United Kingdom and avoid taking square cities until the end of the war.
Justify a war against France and the
Isle of Man. At this point you should have tanks.
The Fall of France[]
Now, with your base in Spain you can take
France. Once again place your navy in between
France and
Corsica, invade the latter and wait for French troops to arrive. Make sure to defend your land in the British Isles and place submarines and destroyers in the English Channel.
After dealing with the French military, use tanks and infantry to close in on France from your Spanish and British lands. With troops arriving from 2 sides of their territory and their military depleted, whoever's playing as
France will most likely panic and do something stupid, allowing you to take advantage of their situation.
Avoid taking Paris and other square cities until the end of the war at which you can select them via force peace.
Isle of Man[]
The Isle of Man will be very easy to take with all your MP and military. You can either invade straight on, or if you want to suffer less losses you can use your navy to eradicate their forces before taking their only city.
If Releasables are Independent[]
If the required releasable are independent, you can take them via auto-capture if they are an AI or use the above tactics if they are players. Once again be sure to avoid square cities until you have taken the rest of their territories.
Congrats! You have formed the Celtic League!
