— Description of forming Chibchan State |
The Chibchan State was a formable of Costa Rica and Panama that is both located in Central and South America. It has 123 cities. The capital of the Chibchan State can either be San Jose or Panama City.
The Chibchan State borders Guatemala and El Salvador in Central America and Brazil, Venezuela, Peru and Ecuador in South America. It has access to the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean.
The Chibchan State also owns the Panama Canal.
Background[]
Chibcha, also called Muisca, are the South American Indians who at the time of the Spanish conquest occupied the high valleys surrounding the modern cities of Bogotá and Tunja in Colombia. With a population of more than 500,000, they were notable for being more centralized politically than any other South American people outside the Inca Empire. Numerous small districts, each with its own chief, had been consolidated through conquest and alliance into two major states and several lesser ones, each headed by a hereditary ruler. Although these states were not very stable, it seems clear that the arrival of the Spanish cut short the development of even larger political units. Their political structure was crushed in the 16th century. In the 18th century their language ceased to be spoken, and the Chibcha became assimilated with the rest of the population.
Terrain[]
All of Honduras, Puerto Cabezas in north-east Nicaragua, the cities of La Palma, Panama City, Colon and Penonome and the cities of San Jose del Guaviare, Mitu and Leticia in Colombia are all flat Terrain while the rest of Colombia, Panama, Nicaragua and all of Costa Rica is made up of hilly Terrain.
Economy and Manpower[]
The Chibchan State makes $2,042,080
The Chibchan State also has a maximum manpower cap of 694,269.
Strategy[]
Right when you spawn, you should make 3-4 electronics factory then buy 6-8 copper and 6-8 gold right before the factories are done. Sell them afterwards.
If you decide to play as Panama, check if Colombia is a player. If they are, quickly place your factories and make Tanks and Artillery to prepare for an invasion, as Colombia needs Panama to form Gran Colombia and will likely target you immediately. Blacklist them from your canal and build Naval units in case their troops try to reach you by water. If you defeat their units, take some tanks across the water to capture farther cities and use your main force to approach their capital. Once you defeat Colombia, justify and declare war on the other nations before Mexico, and you should be good to go.
Playing as Costa Rica is similar, but you must justify on Panama and Nicaragua as soon as possible. There won't be immediate threats unless you try to take Panama first, in which will result in conflict with Colombia if they are a player (play defensive and use the strategy discussed in the Panama playthrough).
For both nations, you want to ally Brazil if you can, just in case if Colombia becomes a player down the line.
Threats[]
- Colombia is more powerful than you at game-start. They also require Panama for Gran Colombia and may expand into Central America.
- Mexico attempting to form the Mexican Empire which requires Costa Rica, Honduras and Nicaragua. They also may expand into South America after forming.
- Guatemala, Belize or El Salvador attempting to form the Republic of Central America.
- Brazil attempting to form the United States of South America, which requires Colombia. They may also expand into Central America after forming.
- United States and/or Canada annexing/uniting all of the Americas after forming the North American Union.
