The Chola Empire, often referred to as the Imperial Cholas, was a medieval thalassocratic empire established by Pottapi branch of the Chola dynasty that rose to prominence during the middle of the 9th century CE and successfully united southern India under their rule.

The power and the prestige the Cholas had among political powers in South, Southeast, and East Asia at its peak is evident through their expeditions to the Ganges, naval raids on cities of the Srivijaya Empire based on the island of Sumatra, and their repeated embassies to China. The Chola fleet represented the zenith of ancient Indian maritime capacity. The Cholas established a centralized form of government and a disciplined bureaucracy. Moreover, their patronage of Tamil literature and their zeal for building temples has resulted in some of the greatest works of Tamil literature and architecture. The Chola kings were avid builders and envisioned the temples in their kingdoms not only as places of worship but also as centres of economic activity. A UNESCO world heritage site, the Brihadisvara temple at Thanjavur, commissioned by the Rajaraja in 1010, is a prime example for Chola architecture. |

The formable only has one biome, Jungle. This biome is in the west coastline of the Indian subcontinent, the Sri Lankan island, and the small island of Kavaratti in the west.

The formable has the Hilly terrain in its central region and Semi-Mountainous terrain to the center of the Sri Lankan island.

The formable has 77 cities in total. Out of them, only 9 cities have a population of 1M. The capital city will either be Chennai or Jaffna depending on the starting country.

The Chola Dynasty only land border is with India to the north. The majority of its border is with the Indian Ocean which surrounds it from all sides.

This formable is best to form as Dravida Nadu. Tamil Eelam can also form this though. There is a lot of threats but it is easy to form.
