Cote d'Ivoire is a Tier III nation located in West Africa .
It's one of the weaker African nations on the continent, but can quickly rise to become a regional power by invading it's neighbours and exploiting the abundance of resources in the region, mainly Gold,
Iron and
Titanium.
Background[]
Cote d'Ivoire, also known as the Ivory Coast, officially the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, is a country located on the south coast of West Africa. Cote d'Ivoire's political capital is Yamoussoukro in the centre of the country, while its economic capital and largest city is the port city of Abidjan. The official language of the republic is French, with local indigenous languages that are widely used, including Baoulé, Dioula, Dan, Anyin, and Cebaara Senufo. In total, there are around 78 different languages spoken in Cote d'Ivoire. The country has large populations of Muslims, Christians (primarily Roman Catholics) and various indigenous religions. Before its colonization by Europeans, Cote d'Ivoire was home to several states, including Gyaaman, the Kong Empire and Baoulé. The area became a protectorate of France in 1843 and was consolidated as a French colony in 1893 amid the European scramble for Africa, after the Berlin Conference which carved up Africa. It achieved independence in 1960, led by Félix Houphouët-Boigny, who ruled the country until 1993. Relatively stable by regional standards, Cote d'Ivoire established close political and economic ties with its West African neighbors while at the same time maintaining close relations to the West, especially France. Cote d'Ivoire experienced a coup d'état in 1999 and two religiously-grounded civil wars, first during 2002-2007 and again during 2010–2011. In 2000, the country adopted a new constitution. Cote d'Ivoire is a republic with strong executive power vested in its president. Through the production of coffee and cocoa, the country was an economic powerhouse in West Africa during the 1960s and 1970s, though it went through an economic crisis in the 1980s, contributing to a period of political and social turmoil. It was not until around 2014 that the gross domestic product again reached the level of its peak in the 1970s. In the 21st century, the Ivorian economy has been largely market-based, and it still relies heavily on agriculture, with smallholder cash-crop production being predominant. |

Threats[]
Nigeria invading you from the east.
France invading you to form the
French Empire.
- Any African nations trying to form the
African Union.
Strategy[]
You should start by making Electronics factories, anywhere you like but I recommend at your biggest cities. Then, make a
Steel and a
Motor Parts factory if possible, because your biggest city, Abidjan is a square city. Start by declaring on
Guinea and
Ghana, with around 600 to 1,200 tanks, for better conquest and Jungle specialize them. With all the deficit, use the money from the peace negotiations to cover the debt that will caused by the deficit if underestimated.
Eventually, you'll reach to a rank of around 30, or 35 without tanks. Declare on Burkina Faso to eventually form the
Kong Empire, and justify on
Sierra Leone and
Liberia for those yummy materials. Once you are starting to have a shape, extend your conquest eastwards to
Benin and justify on
Nigeria for later. For meanwhile, conquer the following nation, not all of them are required, but are recommended for some position:
With that, continue your conquest in Africa !
Trivia[]
- Even though the ingame name of the nation uses the special ' character, it does not use the letter "ô" (Côte d'lvoire), which is used in the official name of the country.
- Cote d'Ivore also goes by the name of Ivory Coast.
