— Description of forming Crown of Aragon |
The Crown of Aragon is a formable for the releasable Aragon.
Background[]
The following is taken from Wikipedia which is licensed under CC-BY-SA 4.0. You can view the article it was taken from here.
The Crown of Aragon was a composite monarchy, also nowadays referred to as a confederation of individual polities or kingdoms ruled by one king, originated by the dynastic union of the Kingdom of Aragon and the County of Barcelona and ended as a consequence of the Spanish War of Succession. At the height of its power in the 14th and 15th centuries, the Crown of Aragon was a thalassocracy controlling a large portion of present-day eastern Spain, parts of what is now southern France, and a Mediterranean "empire" which included the Balearic Islands, Sicily, Corsica, Sardinia, Malta, Southern Italy (from 1442) and parts of Greece (until 1388).
The component realms of the Crown were not united politically except at the level of the king, who ruled over each autonomous polity according to its own laws, raising funds under each tax structure, dealing separately with each Corts or Cortes, particularly the Kingdom of Aragon, the Principality of Catalonia and the Kingdom of Valencia. The larger Crown of Aragon must not be confused with one of its constituent parts, the Kingdom of Aragon, from which it takes its name. In 1469, a new dynastic union of the Crown of Aragon with the Crown of Castile by the Catholic Monarchs, joining what contemporaries referred to as "the Spains", led to what would become the Monarchy of Spain, as a composite monarchy under Habsburg monarchs. The Crown remained until it was abolished by the Nueva Planta decrees issued by King Philip V in 1716 as a consequence of the defeat of Archduke Charles (as Charles III of Aragon) in the War of the Spanish Succession. |
Economy and Manpower[]
Its manpower cap is an impressive 693,892 Maximum manpower, with 2,480 manpower gain. Its economy generates $1,888,339 income, most of the tax coming from Italy.
Geography[]
Terrain[]
The Crown of Aragon's terrain is mostly Hilly, with flat exceptions in Catalonia, Andorra, the area surrounding Rome, the Apulian Peninsula, the area north of Athens, the Greek Islands, and Malta. There is also Mountainous terrain in northwestern and northern Italy, and a Semi-Mountainous area in the northeast.
Biome[]
Only 1 biome can be found in the formable, that being Mild Winter, which only happens during the winter months in northeastern Italy.
Strategy[]
W.I.P
Forming[]
- Your first action should be to make 2-3 electronic factories, and a steel and motor factory.
- Whilst the factories are constructing, spawn at least 2 units of infantry and justify conquest on Andorra and Catalonia.
- Declare war on Andorra. This should be easier than it should be, as you previously took out its home guard as Spain. Seizing 75% of its treasury will also give you a decent early game economy boost.
- After the factories are done, sell the electronics and make as much tanks as possible, as you will use those tanks for invading the rest of the countries in this strategy. It is recommended to build recruitment centers while doing this.
WIP
Malta will easily collapse due to the superior number of your tanks units compared to its home guard. With it gone, you can now form the Crown of Aragon!
Notes:[]
- Your economy will run into trouble if you are engaged in too many wars at once, so slow down and be careful of every step you take. Your stability falling apart is going to slow you down even further.
- The best ideology to form this as is socialism/communism, as that will grant you the large manpower boost a small nation needs.
- This strategy works best if all the countries required are A.I., so it is best not to follow this strategy if you encounter any players.
