Roblox Rise of Nations Wiki

Curacao is a Tier II nation located in the Caribbean. It doesn't border any nation, but there's Aruba to the west, Bonaire to the east, and Venezuela to the south.

Background[]

Curaçao was settled by Arawak people from the South American mainland. It was first visited by Europeans in 1499 and was settled by the Spanish and, later, by the Dutch, who established it as a major center of trade for the Dutch West India Company. The Spanish deported the entire indigenous population as slaves to Hispaniola in 1515. Curaçao is the home of the oldest continuously inhabited Jewish community in the Western Hemisphere, originally formed by Sephardic Jews who emigrated from Portugal in the 1500s.

The island provided one special advantage for the Dutch—one of the finest natural harbors in the West Indies. At the southeastern end of the island, a channel, Sint Anna Bay, passes through reefs to a large, deep, virtually enclosed bay called Schottegat, the site of the capital town, Willemstad. The need for salt to preserve herring initially drove the Dutch to the Caribbean. During the period 1660 to 1700, the Dutch West India Company flourished; the slave trade boomed, and the port of Curaçao was opened to all countries both to receive the incoming food supplies and to dispose of products from the plantations of South America. The island was subjected to frequent invasions from competing privateers and suffered during the wars between the English and Dutch. It has remained continuously in Dutch hands since 1816, as a special municipality.

Threats[]

Curacao doesn't have much threats due to its lack of both resources and population. Curacao's most common threats are:

Strategy[]

The player should start by developing Willemstad, the only city, and by justifying on Haiti and Dominican Republic. When the city is developed and justifications done, build as many infantry as possible and one frigate. Build a steel factory and a motor factory in Willemstad. Declare war on Haiti and move the troops to the south-west tip, then quickly move them away before the home guards come. Then put the troops to the north-western tip of Haiti and put a frigate between the player's troops and the enemy troops. Now, capture Port-au-Prince the capital of Haiti, split them in half and set them on auto-capture. Wait for the unrest in Port-Au-Price to go down, build a tank in it and buy some oil. Get as many tanks as the economy can handle and declare war on Dominican Republic, meanwhile justify on Cuba and Jamaica and other Caribbean nations. Since the caribbean federation is removed which means no free stability, your going to have to get more stability through different ways like government spending and consmuer goods.

Going Further[]

Now, you should try conquering Venezuela and Colombia. You can also try colonizing Africa for resources, or Asia for population, however it'd be smart to become a large regional power in the Americas. Since you have square cities now, start expanding more into the Americas and maybe start conquering Africa if possible.
