The East African Federation (Swahili: Shirikisho la Afrika Mashariki) is a proposed political union of the seven sovereign states of the East African Community in the African Great Lakes region – Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda – as a single federated sovereign state. The idea of this federation has existed since the early 1960s but has not yet come to fruition for several reasons. In September 2018, a committee was formed to begin the process of drafting a regional constitution, and a draft constitution for the confederation was set to be written by the end of 2021 with its implementation by 2023. However, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted plans to draft and implement a constitution. On 20 March 2023, the EAC announced that the drafting process would resume in May of that year in Kenya.
The East African Federation has not yet been established, but many steps have been taken to advance this eventual goal. Institutions and governing bodies already exist for the eventual union of these nations, with representatives from all of the related nations working together towards this common goal.

Cities[]
The East African Federation has 162 cities and 3 Square cities, With them all making up their population of 21,726,334.
Strategy[]
- The best country for forming EAF is
Tanzania or
Uganda due to its population and great amounts of manpower. However, it's fun to form as Burundi.
Tanzania[]
- As Tanzania, take Uganda and South Sudan, while doing that, make 3 Electronic Factories with 6 Gold and 6 Copper and sell it to whoever will buy. Uganda is prized for its Tungsten, you should build mines on the cities with Tungsten, which is then used in Motor Factories, you should then buy Titanium and Iron and then make a Steel factory. After following all of the previous steps, make tanks and then use them primarily. South Sudan has a small amount of oil for tanks. Justify and invade Kenya, then invade Burundi and Rwanda. Then form and voila!
Threats[]
Some possible threats are:
- The
Democratic Republic of the Congo taking
Rwanda and
Burundi to form the
United States of Latin Africa.
Ethiopia expanding to form the
African Union or simply just for the love of the game.
Egypt requires
South Sudan to form the
Khedivate of Egypt
Australia trying to colonize Africa.
- Some European Nations may need nations from you to form a formable or just to colonize.
South Africa expanding into you to form
African Union or for the love of the game.
- Any other African Nation like
Nigeria expanding into you to form again,
African Union or for the love of the game.
Trivia[]
The DRC joined the EAC (East African Community) however was barred from joining the East African Federation in its future formation due to Civil War and other reasons.
