Economic Laws allow a country to manage their economy by modifying the governmental, military, technological, and taxation branches. There are nine categories that can be used in the module: Taxation Laws, Military Spending, Security Spending, Government Spending, Healthcare Spending, Education Spending, Research Spending, Anti Corruption Spending and Reconstruction Spending.

Description[]

Economic Laws introduce upgrades and downgrades depending on various factors upon activating a said law. Said law will then extract a specific amount of money from your current nation's income, where the calculated price depends on the given level, type of law, and the nation's population. However, selecting a level(s) that is not affordable in accordance to the generated income will initiate a deficit warning, meaning more money is being loss than being gained, though it can be changed to a more suitable measure.

To access the panel, Press E on your keyboard (or your flag in the lower left on mobile, then click economy), press "Economic Laws" and you will find 9 sections which are: Taxation Laws, Military Spending, Security Spending, Government Spending, Healthcare Spending, Education Spending, Research Spending, Anti Corruption Spending and Reconstruction Spending.

Notes[]

  • Military Spending does not have a fixed cost compared to the other economic expenditures. Instead, it multiplies the military upkeep with a specified number depending on the level selected.
  • The red buttons located in the left of each array, besides Military Spending, overrides the spending to none.
  • The Anti Corruption Spending is the most expensive law to upkeep, as it costs almost twice as much than that of Research Spending.
  • Reconstruction Spending doesn't have a set cost that scales with population unlike the other economic laws. It only becomes an expense once you control a scorched city. If there are no scorched cities, the economic law has no cost.

Former Laws[]

Before the 10/25/2023 Major Update, there were only three economic laws: Taxation Laws, Government Spending, and Research Spending. Those three laws were dissolved and reworked into 7 categories.
