The Empire of Brazil, also known as the Brazilian Empire, was the official name of the monarchy that ruled Brazil from 1822 to 1889. It was the longest-lasting regime in Brazilian history and marked a significant period of political and social development in the country.
The Empire of Brazil was established following Brazil's declaration of independence from Portugal in 1822. The Brazilian monarchy was initially headed by Emperor Pedro I, who was also the founder of the empire. Pedro I ruled as emperor until 1831 when he abdicated the throne in favor of his five-year-old son, Pedro II. Under the rule of Emperor Pedro II, Brazil experienced a period of relative stability and progress. The empire enacted various reforms, including the establishment of a constitutional monarchy, the promotion of economic development, and the expansion of infrastructure such as railroads and telegraph lines. The country also witnessed advancements in education, culture, and the arts. The Empire of Brazil faced several challenges and conflicts during its existence. Internal struggles, regional conflicts, and disputes over slavery were significant issues. Brazil abolished the transatlantic slave trade in 1850 and eventually abolished slavery altogether in 1888, becoming the last country in the Americas to do so. In 1889, the Empire of Brazil was overthrown in a military coup, and Brazil transitioned to a republic. Emperor Pedro II was exiled, and the country adopted a republican government. The transition to a republic marked the end of the monarchical era in Brazil. |
Economy and Manpower[]
The Empire of Brazil, with the newly incorporated Uruguay, now has a gross income of $13,704,144 and a maximum manpower capacity (2%) of 2,598,524.
The income of Brazil mostly comes from taxes, worth $11.9 million. The rest, $1.8 million, comes from resources.
Resources[]
The Empire of Brazil produces 5 units of aluminum, 4 units of copper, 20 units of oil, and 3 units of phosphate, most of which are scattered around the country, except for the west.
Cities[]
There are 408 cities in the Empire of Brazil, most of which are closer to the Atlantic Ocean than the Amazon Jungle, because barely anyone lives there. That's why there are less cities near the borders of Colombia, Venezuela, etc. Only 2 cities have a total population more than 10 million people, and they are São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The capital city, Brasilia, has 3.7 million people in it. This brings the total population of the empire to 129,926,157. Which ranks it 4th. (Regional Power)
Geography[]
The Empire of Brazil is the biggest country in South America, bordering every country in South America, excluding Ecuador and Chile.
The terrain is pretty hilly in areas nearing the Atlantic Ocean. Brazil is also in possession of the Amazon River, deemed by some to be the longest river in the world. Though unfortunately, rivers do not exist here in Rise of Nations.
Threats[]
There aren't many threats to forming, but the most common is probably an Argentinean player either in the same faction as you or has an alliance with a superpower.
Strategy[]
There is no strategy at all as the Empire of Brazil isn't hard to form. You can easily kill Uruguay with any number of troops as long as it is at least 40k.
However, an Argentinean player might take Uruguay for the sole purpose of annoying you or to form
Rio de la Plata. So, you should kill Argentina too. But if they are allied to a superpower, you must hold them off for as long as you can until Argentina has collapsed.
