— Description of forming Empire of Gabon |
The Empire of Gabon was a formable of Gabon. To form it, you require the countries of
Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome and Principe, and Cameroon. It was removed from the game on the update of November 11, 2022, along with many other African formables. It was the last fictional formable in the game.
Background[]
The Empire of Gabon was a fictional formable likely added to give Gabon a formable.
Geography[]
Terrain[]
It was a generally flat area of land, with the exception of central Cameroon being Hilly.
Biome[]
The Empire of Gabon was all Jungle, stretching from Gabon to southern
Cameroon. The rest was in the normal biome.
Economy and Manpower[]
The Empire of Gabon makes a base income of $562,154. ~$490,000 comes from tax, and the resources make up $67,191 of this base income. It has a somewhat low maximum manpower of 174,103, and has a 792 manpower increase.
Resources[]
The Empire of Gabon produces +5 units of oil, +1 unit of iron, and +2 units of aluminum.
Removal[]
It was removed on the 11th of November 2022 due to it being a fictional empire that didn't exist in real life. Lots of other fictional formables were also removed in this update.
Strategy[]
Since Nigeria was almost always controlled by a player in early game, and needs Cameroon to form the Sokoto Caliphate, you will need some method of preventing Nigeria from invading Cameroon and you first.
- You could always try allying Nigeria and explicitly stating your intentions to take Cameroon. If he/she agrees, then you are free to take Cameroon.
- If not, ally powerful nations around and near you for assistance. Such nations would include Egypt, and South Africa. They would be able to come to your aid in the event that you have already taken Cameroon, and Nigeria tries to invade you to regain Cameroon.
- You could also try to play the waiting game. Normally, Nigeria will NOT invade you if you do not already have Cameroon, so you could wait until after he/she leaves to take it. Take the countries of Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome and Principe while you wait.
- However, if you are really skilled at the game, you could try to take Nigeria on in a full-scale war. With such a low manpower increase and maximum, as well as a lack of cities capable of producing tanks unless having already taken Cameroon, this approach really isn't recommended. You are unable to rely on infantry for this job, and must rely more on artillery and tanks. Luckily, Gabon does produce 3.3 units of oil, so you are able to support a maximum of 3 tank divisions.
- To attack Nigeria, buy enough steel and motor parts to form 3 tank divisions. Then, set up artillery to cover any borders you have with Nigeria. Any remaining manpower should be spent on creating troops to take Nigeria on. Just a warning though, your weak economy would mean that this move would send you into a deficit. Make sure to try to maintain as much of your treasury as possible as you go into the deficit.
- If you had made allies with any powerful African nations before, they should prove very helpful in your war with Nigeria. They could flank Nigeria from other sides while you are busy engaging the main Nigerian forces near Cameroon and Gabon.
- If you play your cards right, then congratulations! You have held out against Nigeria, and formed the Empire of Gabon!
Threats[]
- Nigeria needs Cameroon to form Sokoto Caliphate.
- Equatorial Guinea needs you to form Fang Federation.
