— Description of forming Empire of Yemen |
The Empire Of Yemen was a formable located in the Middle East (Asia ) and East Africa
. It has 61 cities, making the power from this country considerably large.
Background[]
The Empire of Yemen has never existed and doesn't have a single dynasty for which it is based off of. The flag is the flag of the Mutawakkilite Kingdom, which ruled Yemen from 1918 to 1962, however they did not control land in Africa
or
Oman, in fact, they didn't even control southern Yemen, only owning northern Yemen around Saa'na.
Matching the Empire of Yemen's territory is the Zaidi Imamate, a state that existed from 1597 to 1628. The Zaidis controlled western Oman and much of southern Saudi Arabia, yet they did not control any land along the Persian Gulf or Africa
.
Another explanation for the Empire of Yemen is that it is simply a copy of the Omani Empire, which did exist, meant to give Yemen an interesting formable. This, however, could not be true, as the game infamously prohibits fake formables (i.e.,
Trio Java and the
Filipino Empire, and also, many other rejected formable suggestions).
Strategy[]
At the beginning (assuming you create a new server and not join as a big country is falling apart), a large threat for Yemen is, naturally,
Saudi Arabia. Honoring its name, most Saudi players have a desire to create
Arabia. If there are no Saudi players, lucky you! If there is, you should try to ally
Egypt (if there is an Egypt player trying to form the
Mamluk Sultanate). A hopeful Mamluk Sultnate former needs Saudi Arabia for the formable.
Your next threat would be Italy. If there is an Italy player and they're trying to form the
Italian Empire, your Egyptian (or the Mamluk Sultanate) ally would come in handy. If you're desperate, you could create a faction, but the chances of other nations joining it are likely to be reduced due to the faction not being made by a strong nation, and not to mention that some or all people in the server will definitely protest the creation of the faction in the early game. There's also a chance that
France would invade Italy early on, thus alleviating the Italian threat. Two unlikely, albeit strong, threats are the
UK and France. The United Kingdom needs
Somalia, and France needs
Djibouti for their colonial-imperial counterparts.
After or during dealing with those threats, industrialize and make 2-3 electronics factories and a steel and motor factory. Spawn and use any military unit you would like but train them to fight in the Arid biome. Meanwhile, justify on Eritrea and
Oman. Once finished training, declare war on both countries. As Eritrea is small, you can use auto-capture with your tanks. But with Oman, though your units are trained for Arid, they can still take quite a bit of attrition, so it is best to strategically move them, and assign a unit to capture a specific city, and to move by water for a fast and harmless means of invading. After that, justify and declare war on the
UAE and Djibouti, and conquer them. Next is to justify and declare war on Domalia. After declaring war, split whatever unit you're using into two divisions. Send one division to conquer the north, while sail the other division to the south, and with that unit, AI Lure their troops, and take Mogadishu. Meanwhile, have your northern division auto-capture the northern cities. Eventually, Somalia will collapse, enabling you to annex it, and you can form.
Resources[]
The Empire of Yemen produces the following resources:
Geography[]
Terrain[]
The empire is Hilly in the northern Omani coastline, and in Yemen, is Hilly to the east and is Semi-Mountainous to its western, southwestern, and central western coastline. Northern
Eritrea is also Hilly. The areas not mentioned are flat.
Biome[]
The formable is entirely Arid, except for western Eritrea and the northern half of
Somalia.
Economy and Manpower[]
You should be proud of what you do, because with the Empire of Yemen comes exactly $1 million income and 340,015 manpower, which is usually sufficient to defend against Saudi Arabia if not already dealt with.
