— Description of forming Frankish Empire |
The Frankish Empire is a formable located in Western Europe . It can be formed by
France or
Germany.
To form it you need France, the
Netherlands,
Belgium,
Luxembourg,
Germany,
Italy,
Liechtenstein,
Switzerland,
Austria and
Slovenia.
Background[]
Francia, or the Frankish Empire was the largest barbarian kingdom in Western Europe, following the collapse of The core Frankish territories inside the former Western Roman Empire were close to the Rhine and Maas rivers in the north. After a period where small kingdoms inter-acted with the remaining Gallo-Roman institutions to their south, a single kingdom uniting them was founded by Clovis I who was crowned King of the Franks in 496. His dynasty, the Merovingian dynasty, was eventually replaced by the Carolingian dynasty. Under the nearly continuous campaigns of Pepin of Herstal, Charles Martel, Pepin the Short, Charlemagne, and Louis the Pious—father, son, grandson, great-grandson and great-great-grandson—the greatest expansion of the Frankish Empire was secured by the early 9th century, by this point dubbed as the Carolingian Empire. During the Merovingian and Carolingian dynasties, the Frankish realm was one large kingdom polity subdivided into several smaller kingdoms, often effectively independent. The geography and number of subkingdoms varied over time, but a basic split between eastern and western domains persisted. The eastern kingdom was initially called Austrasia, centered on the Rhine and Meuse, and expanding eastwards into central Europe. It evolved into a German kingdom, the |
Modifier[]
Forming the Frankish Empire grants a national modifier called "The Crown of Charlemagne." The modifier gives:
- Base Stability: +5%
- Development Cost: -15%
- Ground Attack: +20%
- Justification Time: -15%
- Manpower Income: -10%
Base Statistics[]
The Frankish Empire has a base income of around $5,661,000, where it generates around $680,950 from resources. Once formed it is usually at 6th in rankings.
Resources[]
The Frankish Empire has an adequate amount of resources, however, it is lacking in a variety of resources such as Uranium and
Titanium. Nevertheless, it boasts a large amount of
Oil and a sufficient amount of
Tungsten.

Geography[]
Terrain[]

The terrain of the Frankish Empire

The Frankish Empire during Winter
The Frankish Empire is mostly flat in the north while the south has a variety of terrain. In its south-west lies Semi-Mountainous terrain and to the east of those mountains lies Hilly terrain. The east of those hills is Mountainous with a small patch of Hilly terrain in north-east Switzerland. These mountains stop at east
Austria which is mostly flat with the south being Hilly and the patch of Semi-Mountainous terrain at northeast
Italy.
Slovenia is also Hilly. Even further south, lies more Hilly terrain in
Sardinia,
Corsica.
Sicily, and the areas east and south of Rome, Italy (excluding the eastern-most tip of Italy which is flat).
Biome[]
The Frankish Empire does not have any biome at all, however it is affected by winter. During winter, northern/southeastern France,
Benelux,
Germany,
Austria,
Switzerland,
Liechtenstein,
Slovenia, and are affected by Mild Winter.
Strategy[]
Starting Moves[]
Build two electronic factories and one steel as well as one motor factory. If you are in deficit of the resources for any of these factories simply trade for them. You should also enact the press censorship policy and raise taxes to pay for low/medium government spending as you will be at war for a majority of the game.
Playing as Germany[]
When you are Germany, you should repeat all the same steps as before and then take over
Benelux and
Austria. This will give you the economy able to withstand a very large number of tanks against
France. Whether or not
France takes over the
Benelux does not matter as long as you get the treasury.
French Conquest[]
- Once you have taken over the countries before and seized their treasury, build a massive tank force, 4k tanks or so, make sure your economy doesn't go haywire, but you can keep a deficit just below 2 million if you have enough treasury. You will be disbanding the tanks after the French war anyway.
- Once you have made all the tanks and have justified war on
France, declare war. Form all your tanks into many lines, send all your tanks to auto-capture
France.
- Make sure that at least 2k tanks surround Paris from the front and back. Now with both 1k tank divisions, destroy their home guard by moving both tank divisions into their capital at the same time. This will cause flank bonuses for your tanks to easily wipe out Paris.
- If
France tries to retake Paris, create even more tanks and reinforce Paris so the tanks don't die. Once most of its forces are gone, you should capture all of
France and then peace out for all their lands.
After French War[]
After the war with France, the rest of the lands should be easy to take, however
Italy still remains and you should finish them last.
War Against Italy[]
Before declaring war against Italy, you should first make some preparations and make sure they don't have any allies. If they have any allies, try to get a truce with them before attacking
Italy.
- Create a battleship, 2 destroyers, and 2 submarines in the Mediterranean Sea using your ports in
France.
- Gather around 4k tanks to fight
Italy.
- Justify conquest on them and then declare war once the justification is complete.
- Move your fleet over to weaken any armies they have and then send all your tanks to auto-capture on
Italy. With your fleet weakening all their armies, they should be easy to kill.
- Once they collapse, annex them and form the Frankish Empire!
France Strategy[]
Along with the starting moves, you should also split your home guard in Paris and then conquer Monaco and
Andorra using the home guard.
Dealing with Germany[]
Germany is vulnerable in the early game, and despite its reputation,
Germany is unlikely to be a strong threat if you attack them early.
- Begin with the starting moves first, then begin justifying on
Germany and set up a line on your border with
Belgium,
Germany, and
Luxembourg. You can use infantry and artillery for this line; however, tanks are easier to produce and use less manpower as well as working just as efficient. Use deception to make
Germany think you are simply defending yourself, however, do not try too hard or you will seem obvious.
- Spam tanks at 3/4 of the justification completed. Once the justification completes, declare war immediately and rush your tanks (excluding the ones on the line) and then blitzkrieg them. Keep creating tanks and setting them to auto-capture and then you should overrun them, however if a
Germanyp layer stacks up infantry against you, during the attack, you should merge all your tanks together and split them in two, then flank the massive German stacks from front and behind, this will give extra damage and allow you to destroy the German armies with your smaller forces.
- If the
United Kingdom is their ally, you're going to need to move artillery to the English Channel, as well as create some submarines to stop British invasions.
- Once
Germany is overrun, any allies they have will be irrelevant once you enforce your peace treaty.
Breaching through Italy[]
This step is only for if Italy is a player, if otherwise, conquer them like any normal AI using AI Luring.
- You must first prepare for war first, construct a destroyer and a battleship on your ports in the Mediterranean Sea, then construct around 3k tanks to invade
Italy.
- Justify conquest on
Italy, then around halfway through the justification, you should split your tanks and move them close to the Italian border. Move your ships you constructed next to Rome.
- Send one of the split tank divisions to attack Rome through a naval invasion, then declare war.
- Use your fleet to naval bombard Italy's troops in the Alps or Rome, once these troops are weakened, your army you sent to Rome will easy capture it, you should also use your tanks close to the Italian border to auto-capture their lands after you have split them up using the form line mechanic.
- Once Rome has been captured, you should also split them up and set them to auto-capture.
- The vast majority of
Italy has been occupied, and if
Italy holds out in a few cities, just demand all their cities in the peace treaty and they will be extinguished.

Threats[]
Austria or a skilled
Liechtenstein may form the
Holy Roman Empire.
Italy may want to form the
Roman Empire.
Any other European country trying to form the European Union.
