French Polynesia is a Tier I nation located in Oceania. It is almost never played by a player, unless a good player manages to take over Oceania and possibly even Asia as this nation.

Background[]

French Polynesia is an overseas collectivity of the French Republic and its sole overseas country. It is composed of 118 geographically dispersed islands and atolls stretching over an expanse of more than 2,000 kilometers (1,200 mi) in the South Pacific Ocean. Its total land area is 4,167 square kilometres (1,609 sq mi).

Hundreds of years after the Great Polynesian Migration, European explorers began exploring the region, visiting the islands of French Polynesia on several occasions. Traders and whaling ships also visited. In 1842, the French took over the islands and established a French protectorate they called Établissements français d'Océanie (EFO) (French Establishments/Settlements of Oceania).

In 1946, the EFO became an overseas territory under the constitution of the French Fourth Republic, and Polynesians were granted the right to vote through citizenship. In 1957, the EFO were renamed French Polynesia. In 1983 French Polynesia became a member of the Pacific Community, a regional development organization. Since 28 March 2003, French Polynesia has been an overseas collectivity of the French Republic under the constitutional revision of article 74, and later gained, with law 2004-192 of 27 February 2004, an administrative autonomy, two symbolic manifestations of which are the title of the President of French Polynesia and its additional designation as an overseas country.

Trivia[]

  • French Polynesia had another formable known as the Kingdom of Bora Bora but it was removed in the 3/29 Update.
  • Because the nearest city is more than 750 km away, it is impossible for French Polynesia to move its capital unless their capital got occupied.
  • This was made an official part of France in real life, just like many other colonies the French owned.
  • Over 1/3 of the nation's population (Compared to now, not back then) had experienced radioactive fallout, due to nuclear testing.

Strategy[]

First, start by making 1 Electronic Factory and making your army into about at least 50k-90k. Next, don't declare on an island as that takes way too long to navally destroy the Home Guard. You should instead declare war on New Zealand as you can easily kill their Home Guard. After you collapse New Zealand, declare war on Australia and hope that they aren't a player. Make 2 more Electronic Factories and justify war on Australia plus train another 100k-150k troops to add in your army. Declare war on Australia and use A.I luring to exploit the A.I. into going in your entrenched troops. After that, try to invade Madagascar or Sierra Leone for its Titanium reserves to make Tanks. Make 1 Motor and Steel Factory after you invade either one. (WIP)
