— Description of forming Goguryeo |
Goguryeo is a formable of North Korea located in East Asia
. It requires North Korea to take
South Korea and the
Chinese releasable of
Manchuria.

Goguryeo, also called Goryeo, was a Korean kingdom located in the northern and central parts of the Korean Peninsula and the southern and central parts of Manchuria. At its peak of power, Goguryeo controlled most of the Korean peninsula, large parts of Manchuria and parts of eastern Mongolia and Inner Mongolia.
Goguryeo reached its zenith in the 6th century. After this, however, it began a steady decline. Anjang was assassinated, and succeeded by his brother Anwon, during whose reign aristocratic factionalism increased. A political schism deepened as two factions advocated different princes for succession, until the eight-year-old Yang-won was finally crowned. But the power struggle was never resolved definitively, as renegade magistrates with private armies appointed themselves de facto rulers of their areas of control. Goguryeo was one of the great powers in East Asia, until its defeat by a Silla–Tang alliance in 668 after prolonged exhaustion and internal strife caused by the death of Yeon Gaesomun. After its fall, its territory was divided among the states of Tang, Later Silla and Balhae. The name Goryeo (alternatively spelled Koryŏ), a shortened form of Goguryeo (Koguryŏ), was adopted as the official name in the 5th century and is the origin of the English name "Korea". |

Russia, and
Mongolia, aswell as a close maritime border with
Japan.
Cities[]
Goguryeo has 143 cities, with 23 of those surpassing one million population.
Economy and Manpower[]
Goguryeo has an income of $4,197,903 and manpower capacity of 1,744,931.
Threats[]
South Korea attempting to form
Korea.
China taking back their releasables.
Japan wanting to form the
Empire of Japan.
Strategy[]
As North Korea, you should rely on speed. Do everything as fast as you can/at the same time. This is to make sure China doesn't have enough times to prepare their troops in
Manchuria.
The first thing you should do as North Korea is create 2 Electronic Factories on both of your square cities, then near the border with South Korea, create one Steel Factory and one Motor Factory. While doing this, justify conquest on South Korea and Research the "research" tree. Sell your Electronics for extra income and declare war on South Korea. Spam about 2k tanks and use AI Luring to destroy the South Korean home guard. Capture Seoul and split your tanks, then auto capture. After South Korea collapses, form Korea.
Create Fertilizer Factories, Aircraft Factories and Civilian Factories on your square cities, and on your non-square ports, create a Battleship, a Submarine and a Destroyer. Sell excess Consumer Goods to different nations for extra income. Once you have over 500 million dollars, create an Aircraft Carrier and spam Attackers and Fighters. Spam as many Tanks as you can too. Buy 41 Oil from any nation. Do not give the idea of Artillery to China, or else they will spam it; only use it if they do. Justify on China and merge all of your tanks (you should have about 8k). Wait for your Manpower to reach 100k and then declare war on China.
Use your Navy and Airforce to annihilate Chinese troops and tanks. Try to wear him out by taunting him. Try to make him ram all of his troops into either the sea or into your tanks. Use your 8k tanks, your Attackers and your powerful Aircraft Carrier to increase his war exhaustion. When he reaches about 1 million losses, send your 8k tanks to the city of Tianjin (basically the city under Beijing) and entrench them. Use your Attackers and your Aircraft Carrier to destroy his troops in Beijing, and then use your newly made Tanks in Korea to Auto-Capture Manchuria (Use Auto Capture and right-click "China", and choose Manchuria to do this). After you secure Manchuria, use the Tanks inside of Manchuria to Auto-Capture China. Use your 8k Tanks in Tianjin to take Beijing, then send them across the sea towards Shanghai (use your navy to escort them) and move your navy up and down the Chinese coast, bombarding any troops they have left.
By now, many of their releasables should have declared independence. Justify conquest on all of them and threaten anybody who dares to take even one. Now, try to steamroll whatever is left of China. Only invade the Warlords if you believe you can finish them before your war with China ends.
Congratulations, you have formed Goguryeo! You should wait for the Unrest to end in China before expanding more into Asia. A smart thing to do would be to invade Cuba and, using the same methods above, to obliterate the
United States. Remember not to ally ANYBODY unless your life depends on it. This is because you don't want to share and you should always be cautious of your allies since they often betray you.
Trivia[]
- Goguryeo was one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, along with Baekje and Silla.[1]
- It surprisingly wasn’t the most populated kingdom, with that being Baekje.[2]
- Goguryeo had a mountain-based fortification system to defend against attacks from Chinese dynasties and other kingdoms. They built thousands of garrison forts and castles in mountain passes.[3]
- Goguryeo took 600 years to fall, and sadly it was by the defeat of the Chinese Tang Dynasty.[4]
- The Goguryeo is one of many nations/formables/releasables that does not have a rectangular flag. It shares this category with:
