— Description of forming Gran Colombia |
Gran Colombia is a formable located in South America and in North America
due to
Panama's inclusion. It controls vast amounts of oil as
Colombia and
Venezuela have vast oil fields. The formable can be considered easy, however there are some threats that may be encountered upon attempting to form this. Forming Gran Colombia will grant you the Libertador title.
Features[]
The power of Gran Colombia is enough to make progress and produces more than 40 units of oil as a minimum. It is one of the most powerful formables in South America .
Background[]
Gran Colombia was a short-lived independent state in northern South America from 1819 to 1831. It was formed by Simón Bolívar, a prominent leader in the wars of independence against Spanish rule. Gran Colombia encompassed present-day Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, and parts of Peru, Brazil, Guyana, and northern Bolivia. It aimed to create a united and independent South America. However, internal conflicts, regional rivalries, economic difficulties, and separatist movements led to its dissolution. Gran Colombia played a crucial role in the struggle for independence and laid the foundation for subsequent attempts at regional integration.
Strategy[]
To form it, you must start as Colombia. Justify on
Venezuela and
Panama and attempt to ally
Brazil and/or the
United States for protection. Venezuela is the hardest to invade in terms of military strength, which is why you should invade it first. Use your justification while at war to get a head start on
Ecuador. After they are taken care of, declare on Panama and Ecuador, but focus on Ecuador as they will be harder to take due to the Mountainous terrain. After both Ecuador and Panama are annexed, you can form Gran Colombia. You now have a straight shot at invading more of South America (Going south to attack
Peru, east to
French Guiana,
Guyana, and
Suriname, etc.) or to invade Central America through Panama.
Being Gran Colombia, it tries to conquer Brazil to be a superpower. If you can't, try to annex
Peru and
Bolivia to achieve it. You have the ability to annex the Caribbean Islands, and you must get enough military to expand through Central America until you reach
Mexico. If you want, you can annex the
United States, but it is very important that you annex Mexico and Peru before doing so, so as not to risk it.
Threats[]
United States May annex
Panama to form
Empire of Liberty
Venezuela may form the
Federation of the Andes
any Latin American country willing to form Patria Grande.
