— Description of forming Hotak Dynasty |
The Hotak Dynasty is a formable of Afghanistan located in Asia. Its capital is Kabul.
Afghanistan must annex
Iran to be able to form this.
Background[]
The Hotak Dynasty was an Afghan monarchy of the Ghilji Pashtuns, established in April 1709 by Mirwais Hotak after leading a successful revolution against their declining Persian Safavid overlords in the region of Loy Kandahar ("Greater Kandahar") in what is now southern Afghanistan. It lasted until 1738 when the founder of the Afsharid dynasty, Nader Shah Afshar, defeated Hussain Hotak during the long siege of Kandahar, and started the reestablishment of Iranian suzerainty over all regions lost decades before against the Iranian archrival, the Ottoman Empire, and the Russian Empire. At its peak, the Hotak dynasty ruled briefly over an area which is now Afghanistan, Iran, western Pakistan, and some parts of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
In 1715, Mirwais died of a natural cause and his brother Abdul Aziz succeeded to the monarchy. He was quickly followed by Mahmud who ruled the empire at its largest extent for a mere three years. Following the 1729 Battle of Damghan, where Ashraf Hotak was roundly defeated by Nader Shah, Ashraf was banished to what is now southern Afghanistan with Hotak rule being confined to it. Hussain Hotak became the last ruler until he was also defeated in 1738.
Economy and Manpower[]
The Hotak Dynasty economy generates $2,408,610. It has a manpower cap of 683,098, and it gains 3310 manpower daily.
Geography[]
The Hotak Dynasty is almost entirely Arid lower the movement speed of troops and heavy attrition. It is mostly mountainous with the southern parts being hilly. This combines for a very good defensive advantage especially when paired with fortified artillery.
Resources[]
The Hotak Dynasty produces 20 units of oil every turn as its main resource.
Other resources that it produces are:
- 3 Units of Chromium
- 3 Units of Copper
- 2 Units of Gold
- 3 Units of Iron
- 1 Unit of Phosphate
- 1 Unit of Aluminum
Cities[]
The Hotak Dynasty has a total of 94 cities with its most populous city being Tehran, the capital of Iran, with 7 million people. The capital, Kabul has a population of more than 3.3 million. This sums up to a total of 39920306 in population.
Strategy[]
As Afghanistan, justify on Iran after you converted most of your manpower into infantry. Use AI Luring to take out the home guard of Iran. Then capture the coastal cities using troop transports and slowly make your way into the interior. Beware of the heavy attrition you may suffer as Iran is one of the hardest countries to conquer due to its desert biome causing heavy attrition, mountainous biome slowing down your troops, and long distances between cities. You can use tanks, but it is not recommended as it is heavily affected by attrition.
It is vital for you to research infantry and tank mobility techs in order to reduce time spent in attrition.
