Indonesia is a Tier VI island nation in Southeast Asia and Oceania .

Indonesia is recognized as one of the most powerful countries in the Southeast Asian region due to its extensive territory and sizable population. As Indonesia is primarily composed of islands, it heavily relies on establishing naval superiority to defend its homeland and deter maritime threats.

Indonesia shares borders with Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, and Timor-Leste, while it shares maritime borders with Brunei, Singapore, the Philippines, Christmas Island, Palau, and Australia.

Eastern Sumatra and Kalimantan, central Java, New Guinea and Sulawesi consist of Semi-Mountainous terrain. South-central Kalimantan, southeastern Java, most of the rest of Sulawesi, the majority of the Lesser Sunda islands, all of the northern Maluku islands as well as Western New Guinea consist of Hilly terrain. The rest of Indonesia does not have any terrain.

  • China is the number one threat, as it is a global superpower and dominates over Indonesia, both militarily and economically, but also has a tendency to expand towards the Southeast Asian region.
  • Japan is the second most common threat, as it requires Indonesia to form the Empire of Japan. It is capable of waging a robust military due to its sheer economic power.
  • Any nation attempting to reunify the Federation of Southeast Asian States, which requires the annexation of Indonesia. Nations that commonly form this in exclusion of Indonesia includes: Vietnam, Philippines, and in some occasions, Thailand.
  • Netherlands requires Indonesia in order to form the Dutch Empire.
  • Australia expanding northwards.
