This article is about Iran. You may be looking for Iraq.

Iran is a Tier V nation located in Asia , more specifically the Middle East.

Iran is known to be one of the strongest countries in its region as it begins as a regional power in the international leaderboard. The nation is comprised with vast territories that is fully embodied with rough terrain and biomes, which can be served as a deterrent against foreign threats. The country also generates a decent economy and retains a moderate population, comparable to its adjacent counterparts, with those being Turkey and Egypt.

Aside from its national welfares, Iran does not maintain enough natural resources in order to fulfill its industrial demands, however, it borders many resource-rich regions, most notably Central Asia to the north, which deposits heavy amounts of many crucial materials, and other significant Oil-producing countries, such as Iraq to the west and Saudi Arabia to southwest.

The country is also usually challenged by its regional neighbors, such as Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and more, though its natural geographic layout could repel ground invasions.

Background[]

Throughout much of early history, the land known today as Iran was known as the Persian Empire. The first great dynasty in Iran was the Achaemenid which ruled from 550 to 330 BC. It was founded by Cyrus the Great. This period was followed by the conquest of the Alexander the Great's Macedonian Empire of the Persians and the Hellenistic period. In the wake of Alexander's conquests, the Parthian Dynasty ruled for nearly 500 years followed by the Sasanian Empire until 661 AD.

In the 7th century, the Arabs conquered Iran and introduced the people to Islam. More invasions came, first from the Turks and later from the Mongols. Starting in the early 1500s local dynasties once again took power including the Safavid, Afsharid, the Zand, the Qajar, and at last the Pahlavi.

In 1979 the Pahlavi dynasty was overthrown by revolution. The Shah (king) fled the country and Shia religious leader Ayatollah Khomeini became leader of the theocratic republic. Iran's government has since been guided by Islamic principles.

Base Statistics[]

Economy[]

The Iranian economy produces a national income of $1,935,911 at the start of the game; $1,603,877 revenues from tax collection while the remaining $332,034 roots from natural resource production. However, due to its starting home guard, it raises its economic expenses through increasing the military upkeep by $360,000, which in exchange, deducts its final balance to $1,575,911.

Resources[]

Iran has limited reserves of various natural resources due to its low quantity production, with the exception of Oil. Consequentially, it it mostly relies on international trading or expanding towards nearby resource-rich regions, such as Central Asia and the Middle East, in order to enlarge its resource capacity.

Releasables[]

Threats[]

  • Iran requires to be annexed in order to form the Islamic Caliphate.
  • Russia could wage war against Iran if they obstruct them from forming either of their formables, such as the Soviet Union or the Russian Empire, through occupying any nations within the Caucasus or Central Asia. Occasionally, Russia players may plan to annex regardless if Caucasus or Central Asia was untouched.
  • Afghanistan is notorious for preserving the same geographic features similar to Iran, though it is landlocked which nullifies the utilization of navy during a war. Afghanistan may establish a stabilized stronghold which could pose significant preventions from forming the Khwarazmian Dynasty, the Islamic Caliphate, and/or the Persian Empire.
  • Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia are the strongest nations within the region, and are capable of dominating Iran.
  • Although not as common, India or China could possibly attack Iran after forming the Maurya Empire or invading Central Asia, respectively.

Strategy[]

First, you should try to quickly get consumer factories. Research Factory Output 2 and enable The Public Service Act policy, then sell the consumer goods to other countries (most commonly India as they are the most common superpower that is an AI) when you are ready. While the factories are building, invade Bahrain for some extra cash and continue to build. Now, you should invade Iraq.

After Iraq collapses, continue invading. You can either go to Central Asia and farther east, or further west, or further south to Saudi Arabia.

By now, Turkey will have taken interest in you. If they invade Iraq too, try to get the square cities of Baghdad and Mosul and deny Turkey any land south of Baghdad. After that, immediately invade Syria and attempt to take Damascus and Hims. Fortify cities on the west if you'd like to, but most importantly fortify Tehran and keep at least 800 entrenched tanks and 100 artillery there. Make artillery and infantry on the Turkish border and train them - make sure they are Mountain and Arid specialized, this will GREATLY help you in defense of your land and invasion of Turkey. Make tanks on the southern border to surprise attack them - you can also produce Attackers to aid Artillery in bombardment of Turkey's army.

Also, another tip! Hire military generals, just do it! It's only 300 Military Power and will GREATLY help you.

When Turkey declares war, you can hold them off on the borders. Use your tanks on the southern border by splitting some off and using those to encircle the Turkish troops that will attack your tanks in Iraq. Now push in from the west, make sure to keep spamming tanks and using your artillery to aid them. By now, Turkey's army should be paralyzed or at least not too potent of a threatening force. Just continue to spam tanks and keep annexing Turkish land. Once you are close to Ankara, start merging some tanks, move artillery near Ankara to prepare to siege and then hopefully capture the Turkish capital - If Turkey somehow has enough reserve forces to start a counterattack, start moving your army back to the Turkish mountains in the southeast and entrench them - Turkey should have left the game after you capturing their capital - just continue to annex Turkey then peace them out, if they didn't and are still resisting, just push down the resistance with your tanks.
