Background[]
Kazakhstan, officially the Republic of Kazakhstan, is a transcontinental country mainly located in Central Asia Kazakhstan is the world's largest landlocked country, and the ninth-largest country in the world. It has a population of 18.8 million residents, and has one of the lowest population densities in the world, at fewer than 6 people per square kilometer (15 people per square miles). Since 1997, the capital is Nur-Sultan, formerly known as Astana. It was moved from Almaty, the country's largest city. Kazakhstan is the most dominant nation of Central Asia economically, generating 60% of the region's GDP, primarily through its oil and gas industry. It also has vast mineral resources, and is officially a democratic, secular, unitary, constitutional republic with a diverse cultural heritage. Kazakhstan is a member of the United Nations (UN), WTO, CIS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Eurasian Economic Union, CSTO, OSCE, OIC, CCTS, the Turkic Council and TURKSOY. In January 2022, Kazakhstan faced massive protests because of a sharp increase of gas prices. Protesters also sought to fight police brutality, corruption, a rise of authoritarianism, economic inequality, and human rights violations. They also sought to remove the former president, Nursultan Nazarbayev, from the Kazakh Security Council. On January 7th, their current President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, issued for the armed forces to shoot without warning against any protesters. As of January 10th, 2022, Nazarbayev has resigned from the Security Council, Prime Minister Askar Mamin resigned, and so did his cabinet. Gas prices have also been capped at 50 tenge per litre for 6 months. However, the SCTO raised concerns about the situation, and eventually sent thousands of its own soldiers to deal with the crisis, which eventually lead to the brutal shooting and arrests of hundreds of protesters, ending the unrest. |

Russia and
China usually rush Kazakhstan early-game. It produces tons of
Titanium,
Tungsten,

Politics[]
Releasables[]
Despite its size, Kazakhstan has no releasables.
Formables[]
Kazakhstan currently has two formables, which are the Turkic Khaganate and the
United Turkic States.
Threats[]
- Kazakhstan's main threat is
Russia wanting to expand into Asia
and form the
Soviet Union or
Russian Empire or get a monopoly on the
Tungsten market, but
China is also a threat because it wants resources.
China may also invade you to form the
Qing Dynasty, as it requires a portion of Kazakhstan’s land.
- Most countries nearby that are similarly sized or a slightly smaller,
Iran or
Pakistan can also be threats, however it is unlikely you will face off with them before
Russia or
China.
Strategy[]
National Focus and Russian Aggression[]
Economic Development and Industrialization[]
- Start by setting Government and Research Spending to Maximum.
- Get the Improved Infrastructure policy.
- Place electronic, fertilizer, and motor factories on the biggest cities, south of Kazakhstan's capital (Nur-Sultan). It is harder to capture from the south than the north.
- Research the Research Branch, until you unlock "Advanced Machine Learning".
- Recruit a general for infantry divisions.
- Start building Consumer Factories on top of the factories where the cities were built. When waiting for the Consumer Goods to start generating, you can turn the conscription law to Limited.
- Once the Consumer Factories are finished, start selling it to AI nations, at ranging from 10 - 200 consumer goods for each nation.
- Once sold, build an Aircraft Factory on any of the factory cities.
- In order to gain extra manpower and strengthen the economy, build develop cities and build recruitment centers when the Aircraft Factory has finished.
- By now, you should have enough political power to unlock Socialism, which is a decent ideology for a country that produces a ton of various resources. Do not spend political power for other necessities, as you will be using them for the war fund.
- Keep developing cities, building recruitment centers, and researching the research technology tree if not in war yet, as it is one of the most important to steps to build an imperial military.
- As you are in Limited conscription law, start spamming infantry division along the Southern cities, and merge them into one division as a capital defense. Remember, the capital is the most crucial city to protect from an offensive invasion. Also recruit aircraft as it is a significant unit for fighting hordes of Russian divisions.
- While spamming troops, start building forts on every city, as well as airports that have a population larger than 500,000. Again, if you keep developing cities, this should not be an economic conflict as you should be able to upkeep the forts.
- By now, you should have at least 700,000 to 1,400,000 million troops as Kazakhstan, without expanding. It is advised to station about 250,000 troops on the capital city, and make sure to build anti aircraft and artillery to fight off the incoming enemy forces.
- Once all cities have reached a development of Tier V, and all fortifications are built on every city, continuously spam hundreds of thousands of infantry and move northwards.
Russian War[]
- Once war has been declared, move the east division to the nearest most populated city in Russia, where their homeguard is located.
- Command all planes to move toward Russia's units, as it will weaken them and will give you a clearer front when attacking. While doing this, keep spamming thousands of troops from the south and north.
- Circulate a line, with your divisions, and auto-capture the cities. Keep sending troops to the frontlines to eventually overwhelm Russia with millions of troops.
- By the time Russia spawns in more, you have a manpower capacity of over 400,000 with a gain of about 20,000, giving a clear advantage to spawn in millions of troops, with a stable economy as well.
- It isn't required to, but if you feel you are losing ground, then turn conscription law to Extensive. It will not hurt your economy at all, the only valuable aspect at this time is winning the war.
- You should have a manpower capacity of over 900,000 if you turned Extensive. Keep spamming as much troops as possible, eventually Russia will soon lose power and will later capitulate.
- If they decide to camp at Moscow, Russia's capital city, take every city besides the capital and force peace them eventually, or move aircraft towards their garrison.
- Soon, Russia has officially lost the war, which now means you can turn back to Limited. Until then, you have won against a bloody battle as Kazakhstan against Russia. You are now able to expand through Central Asia, or conquer Europe. The choice is yours.
In most early game openings, the player will want to move their Home Guard to their capital and fortify their capital. They should build electronic factories and sell them to AI to supplement their economy. Russia is almost always going to invade the player, and the player will need that extra income to build and maintain units. The player should also build steel and motor factories alongside the electronic factories, preferably in the southern cities, where they can be easier defended. They should then mass train some infantry in big cities along the north and fortify those big cities. The player should move their infantry into those cities. When the player's infantry finishes training, they should have their steel and motor factories built by now. The player should start mass producing tanks at Almaty and move them north, supplementing the infantry defenses or holding them back to plug gaps in the player's line. Kazakhstan does not have a very good early-game manpower pool, which may be quickly exhausted. If the player can, they should try to ask for MP from other nations and use that to train a few more reserve units (for exploiting breakthroughs that they may make). Artillery use is also encouraged as it will help greatly. Make sure to enact the Neutrality Act policy if Russia does declare war. This, combined with the arid environment, will make it hell for Russia to invade.
If the player cannot hold the north, they should pull troops back to their capital and scorch cities as Russia approaches them. They should build 10-20k infantry in the cities around their capital as they pull their troops back. Do not merge them. These spread out infantry will stall Russia's advance and will give the player time to scorch their cities and bleed the Russians. Keep making tanks in Almaty and sending them to the front (but not all the way to the front). Once Russia's advance slows, the player should split their troops and start auto-capturing, stepping in manually from time to time to control tank units, sending them to major cities like Omsk or Moscow (if they wish to capital snipe). Russia will either sue for peace or leave the game. If Russia leaves the game, the player MUST continue asking for aid, manpower, or money to supplement their invasion. Increasing government spending will also help the player in this long war. The player should halt their troops from time to time to let them regenerate their losses. If Russia wants peace, send them a deal that says the player will annex all the cities they have captured (or seizing of treasury and some resources if the player is greedy, but this makes the peace deal less lucrative). This makes sure that the player's pain was not for nothing. Under no circumstances should they accept White Peace. This is a general outline of how to resist a Russian invasion. Once the player has succeeded, they are free to do whatever the hell they want, like form the
