— Description of forming Khedivate of Egypt |
the Khedivate of Egypt is a formable for Egypt. In addition, it requires
Sudan,
South Sudan,
Israel,
Palestine,
Jordan,
Syria,
Saudi Arabia, and
Eritrea. It must not form
Mamluk Sultanate to form Egyptian Khedivate.
Although the Khedivate of Egypt was, in name, a part of the Ottoman Empire, Muhammad Ali Pasha held all the authority in the region, and was the de facto ruler of an independent Khedivate. Forming this formable awards you with the Khedive title.
Background[]
Muhammad Ali Pasha al-Mas'ud ibn Agha, also known as Muhammad Ali of Egypt and the Sudan, was an Albanian Ottoman governor and the de facto ruler of Egypt from 1805 to 1848, who is considered the founder of modern Egypt. At the height of his rule, he controlled Lower Egypt, Upper Egypt, Sudan and Most of Arabia and the entire Levant.
He was a military commander in an Albanian Ottoman force sent to recover Egypt from a French occupation under Napoleon. Following Napoleon's withdrawal, Muhammad Ali rose to power through a series of political maneuvers, and in 1805 he was named Wāli (viceroy) of Egypt and gained the rank of Pasha. As Wāli, Muhammad Ali attempted to modernize Egypt by instituting dramatic reforms in the military, economic and cultural spheres. He also initiated a violent purge of the Mamluks, consolidating his rule and permanently ending the Mamluk hold over Egypt. Militarily, Muhammad Ali recaptured the Arabian territories for the sultan, and conquered Sudan on his own accord. His attempt at suppressing the Greek rebellion failed decisively, however, following an intervention by the European powers at Navarino. In 1831, Muhammad Ali waged war against the sultan, capturing Syria, crossing into Anatolia and directly threatening Constantinople, but the European powers forced him to retreat. After a failed Ottoman invasion of Syria in 1839, he launched another invasion of the Ottoman Empire in 1840; he defeated the Ottomans again and opened the way towards a capture of Constantinople. Faced with another European intervention, he accepted a brokered peace in 1842 and withdrew from the Levant; in return, he and his descendants were granted hereditary rule over Egypt and Sudan. The dynasty he established would rule Egypt until the revolution of 1952 when King Farouk was overthrown by Mohamed Naguib when he succeeded him as the president of Egypt. |
Economy and Manpower[]
The Egyptian Khedivate has a manpower capacity of 1,634,596. The formable's balance is about $6,199,366 (without any trade, troops and at least 50% stability).
Geography[]
The Khedivate of Egypt's terrain is flat, with Hilly terrain comprising eastern African Egypt and the southern Sinai Peninsula except for both of their norths, northeastern Sudan, western Saudi Arabia except for a Semi-Mountainous area in the southwest, and all of Lebanon.
The biome is mostly Arid, with a normal biome for most of the area surrounding the Nile River, northern Israel, all of Lebanon and Cyprus, and northeastern Syria.
Strategy[]
You already start with a good economy. Justify on Syria and Israel. Make 1 Electronic ,1 Fertilizer ,4 Cousumer Factories and 1 steel and 1 motor factories. Once you have finished justifying, justify on Lebanon and Jordan and immediately take Syria before Turkey does. If Turkey already has Syria, here are some strategies.
Beating Turkey pt.1 - Economics[]
Most of the time Turkey is an average player, not too invested into making factories. Since you have taken Israel, Justify on Jordan and Sudan. Go Socialism for reducing war exhaustion, boosting manpower, and making factories produce more. Make 2k tanks, Sell Electronics to countries for income. Regularly develop cities (make sure to not go into debt while doing it or your trades will cancel.) Expand more into the countries needed for the formable, and maybe spark a war with Turkey (if they have not)
Peaceful way to get needed lands[]
If you don't want to get ganged up on or get destroyed by Turkey, maybe you should just borrow Syria and the lands he took needed for the formable. If they refuse here's how to beat an average Turkey player.
Beating Turkey pt.2 - WAR![]
If Turkey refuses or you are brave enough, it is time to go to war. Make an aircraft factory, 4 attackers, 300k infantry which is improved in Technology or trained properly, 2 submarines, and a destroyer. Make sure you can afford these, or the Turkey player may spam infantry until you die.
Here's how to use the army:
Tanks: 2k to 4k (expensive, 2.4k recommended)
Used to take Istanbul and big cities.
Infantry: 200k - 500k (250k recommended)
Used to capture Turkey's cities and defend your borders
Attackers: 4-8
Used to cause loss in their army. Works best when the units of theirs are grouped or unprotected with navy or anti aircraft.
Submarine: 2-6
Used to torpedo and sink troop transport vessels and, if they have enough money, battleships.
Destroyer: 1-3
Bombard the coasts and destroy their submarines and frigates. Make sure to make 2, 1 for the coast bombardment and another for protecting your tanks or troops going to the sea from submarines or frigates.
There you have it! make sure they don't destroy you. Also, you can make more or less on what's recommended here.
If it does end up working, destroy them as fast as you can before some of their allies get there.
After taking needed lands from Turkey[]
You are there now. Saudi Arabia, Eritrea and South Sudan is all that's left. Make sure to use AI Luring to save troops and some money, especially on Saudi Arabia.
After taking all that's left, you may form the Egyptian Khedivate!
