— Description of forming Kingdom of Bora Bora |
The Kingdom of Bora Bora was a formable for French Polynesia. 5 nations are required for this formable, those are: French Polynesia,
Tonga,
Cook Islands,
Samoa, and
American Samoa. It was the smallest formable both by size and population when it was in-game.
The formable was suggested by CrdCrash.
Background[]
The history of the Kingdom of Bora Bora is marked by the rivalry of two clans: one based near Faanui, consisting of families attached to the marae (temple) Farerua, and the other consisting of the families of Nunue and Anau around the marae Vaiotaha, which was long among the most important marae of Polynesia.
In this respect, Bora Bora is likewise marked by the rivalry with Raiatea in pursuit of religious power. Up to a certain period, a certain parallelism can be seen between the institutions of Bora Bora and Raiatea, which suggests that the two islands exercise joint religious and political authority over the other Leeward Islands. However, Raiatea ultimately became the center of religious power, while Bora-Bora retained a particularly strong military power, expressed both in internal wars and in wars with rival islands.
According to Tupaia, Borabora was actually a place of exile for thieves and other wrongdoers. However, the outcasts eventually became pirates, attacking the other islands in kind. In the 18th century a great chief, Puni (Teihotu Matarua), succeeded in dominating the island's other clans. He then conquered Tahaa before attacking Raiatea, which he conquered in 1763 after a three-year campaign. In 1769, when James Cook landed at Tahaa and Raiatea, the islands were still dominated by Puni and his Borabora warriors.
At Puni's death, his nephew Tapoa I, paramount chief of Bora Bora, Raiatea and Tahaa, settled at Raiatea, thus leaving local power to the chiefs Mai and Tefaaora, originally of Nunue and Anau, and members of the marae of Vaiotaha.
The first clear mention of the island was by the Dutch explorer Jakob Roggeveen in 1722. James Cook saw it in 1769 and landed there in 1777.
Geography[]
The Kingdom of Bora Bora has flat terrain and the normal biome.
Cities[]
The Kingdom of Bora Bora has 6 cities. The most populated being the capital, Pap'ete.
Threats[]
- People usually play as
France, which is okay. But someone playing as France might want to form the
French Empire, and that formable requires
French Polynesia. Although, that is unlikely that they would invade you this early on the in the game, and it is even more likely you will form before they even reach the region.
- Oceanic nations, especially
Australia, trying to form the
Oceanic Union. which require some of the countries you need.
Strategy[]
Strategy 1[]
First of all, make an electronics factory and sell your electronics for more cash. Next, Get infantry, oil and a destroyer. Then, justify and declare on all the countries needed for Bora Bora. You can use the destroyers to kill their troops, even if you have more troops; you can't kill theirs since they only have 1 city. You can disband your destroyers after you get to Tonga, since they have 2 cities, and you can instead defeat their home guard via AI Luring. This formable is pretty easy and doesn't take a lot of time.
Strategy 2[]
Same as the first, make an electronics Factory, also maybe a fertilizer Factory for extra cash. Now make a steel Factory or buy some steel, and then oil, you will need it for your battleship.
Make sure to change ideology to Nationalism or Socialism to upgrade your income and stability.
Usually, these countries will not be players, justify on all the countries needed, and weaken their home guard via shore bombardment very swiftly!
After their numbers are low (14k at least), you can barge in their islands, and form the Kingdom of Bora Bora!
