Kingdom of Merina was a formable of Madagascar that was located in Southern and Southeastern Africa. It has 30 cities, and its capital was Antananarivo. It was removed from the game on the update of November 11, 2022, along with many other African formables.
The Kingdom of Merina's only threats are France and South Africa, it has no neighbors at all due to its location.
Background[]
The Kingdom of Merina or Kingdom of Madagascar, officially the Kingdom of Imerina (c. 1540–1897), was a pre-colonial state off the coast of Southeast Africa that, by the 19th century, dominated most of what is now Madagascar. It spread outward from Imerina, the Central Highlands region primarily inhabited by the Merina ethnic group with a spiritual capital at Ambohimanga and a political capital 24 kilometres (15 mi) west at Antananarivo, currently the seat of government for the modern state of Madagascar. The Merina kings and queens who ruled over greater Madagascar in the 19th century were the descendants of a long line of hereditary Merina royalty originating with Andriamanelo, who is traditionally credited with founding Imerina in 1540.

The Kingdom of Merina was one of the easiest but weakest formables in Rise of Nations (Although, if there was a South African player, the Kingdom of Merina was very hard to form.)
First ally South Africa (if its a player) and India if South Africa declines or if it was AI. Offer alliances to India, Australia, Indonesia and Iran, as they are the best choices.
For invading the 4 island nations of Mayotte, Comoros, Reunion and Mauritius, all of them require the same strategy. Justify a war goal, declare war, destroy their home guard using any method, we recommend using destroyers to kill the home guards or battleships if you have the money, you can form the Kingdom of Merina.

- France needs Comoros, Mayotte, Reunion, and Madagascar for the French Empire.
- United Kingdom and the Netherlands needs Mauritius for British Empire and Dutch Empire respectively.
