Founded by the old Seku Wattara, the Kong Empire forged a prosperous nation within the region, spreading its influence throughout the coast before Kong's scorching by the French Empire. With their old lands restored, however, the time has come to restore our wealth and take our revenge on the vicious Europeans.

The Kong Empire is a formable for Cote d'Ivoire. It was added on November 8th, 2022. Forming this gives the player a 6% stability bonus. It's a relatively simple formable as it requires only one state to be conquered, and Burkina Faso is several times weaker than Cote d'Ivoire.

The Kong Empire (1710–1898), also known as the Wattara Empire or Ouattara Empire for its founder, was a pre-colonial African Muslim state centered in northeastern Ivory Coast that also encompassed much of present-day Burkina Faso. It was founded by Dyula immigrants from the declining Mali Empire. It established a largely decentralized commercial empire based upon linkages by merchant houses protecting trade routes throughout the region. Kong rose to prominence in the 1800s as a key commercial center and center of Islamic studies. In 1898, Samori Ture attacked the city and burnt it down. Although the city was rebuilt, the Kong empire had dissipated and the French took control over the area.

The Kong Empire is one of the easiest formables in the game, only requiring Burkina Faso. Invest all of your money and manpower into infantry, and justify conquest on Burkina Faso. Burkina Faso has no terrain, so it's easy to take. Now, split all of your troops into groups of 10,000, and invade everything except Ougadougou. Burkina Faso has many cities, so you should be able to force peace it without capturing Ougadougou. Now, you should have captured all of Burkina Faso, and you can finally form the Kong Empire!
