Resources are materials that are consistently used for a variety of mechanics in Rise of Nations. Currently, there are two types of resources in the game, which are natural and manmade. Natural resources are automatically generated from numerous regions across the globe, while manmade materials can be manufactured via factories, but each factory requires its needed natural resources in order to be maintained.
Natural resources are diverse throughout each nation, as the vast majority of countries have a limited stockpile of unique resources that they continuously produce. The production of natural resources can be used to construct factories, expand the economy, engage in international trading, or recruit and reinforce certain assets in the military, such as naval vessels, tanks, aircraft, and more.
Natural Resource Chart
The chart below lists all the resources, which nations they can be found in, and what they are used for.
List of Man-made Resources
Aircraft Part | 2 Aluminium, 2 Chromium, 2 Titanium | Manufacturing Aircraft and Aircraft Carriers |
Fertilizer | 3.5 Phosphate | Producing Consumer Goods |
Steel | 4 Iron, 0.2 Titanium | Producing Tanks, Capital Ships, and Motor Parts |
Consumer Goods | 3 Electronics, 2.5 Motor Parts, 2.5 Fertilizer | A nation's population has a certain demand for consumer goods. Once the demand is met, a nation gets 25% stability boost. The larger the population, the more consumer goods must be produced. |
Motor Part | 1 Steel, 2 Tungsten | Producing tanks and consumer goods |
Electronic | 2 Gold, 2 Copper | Building Sonar Stations and producing consumer goods |
Enriched Uranium | 20 Uranium, Uranium Enrichment technology | Producing nukes |
Removed Resources
This article is talking about a feature, formable, or mechanic that has been removed from the game. This page has been preserved for historical and or informational purposes.
Lithium
Lithium is a removed material during the update tests. It could be found in Africa, Australia, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia, and was used to produce Electronics.
Sulfur
Sulfur was a resource found in Africa, Poland, and other random areas. Sulfur was specifically used to create Fertilizer, but was removed because of its rarity making Fertilizer so difficult to produce.
Nickel
Nickel was a resource that existed for a very short time during the update tests, and had no known uses. It was removed shortly after the tests began.
