The Marshall Islands is a Tier I nation located in the Pacific Ocean.
Background[]
The Marshall Islands, officially the Republic of the Marshall Islands is an island country and a United States associated state near the equator in the Pacific Ocean, slightly west of the International Date Line. Geographically, the country is part of the larger island group of Micronesia. The country's population is spread out over 29 coral atolls, comprising 1,156 individual islands and islets. The capital and largest city is Majuro. It has the largest portion of its territory made of water of any sovereign state, at 97.87%.
The islands share maritime boundaries with the Wake Island to the north, Kiribati to the southeast, Nauru to the south, and Federated States of Micronesia to the west. About 52.3% of Marshall Islanders live on Majuro. In 2016, 73.3% of the population were defined as being "urban". The UN also indicates a population density of 295 per km2 (765 people per mi2).
The majority of the citizens of the Republic of Marshall Islands, formed in 1982, are of Marshallese descent, though there are small numbers of immigrants from the United States,
China,
Philippines, and other Pacific islands. The two official languages are Marshallese, which is one of the Malayo-Polynesian languages; and English. Almost the entire population of the islands practices some religion: three-quarters of the country follows either the United Church of Christ – Congregational in the Marshall Islands (UCCCMI) or the Assemblies of God.

Formables[]
Marshall Islands can form:
Strategy[]
First off, when you join the game and become the Marshall Islands, you'll want to build an electronic factory. Then, buy the required resource and start selling. After you do that, you should build a destroyer, which you can use later on to kill other islands' Home Guard. But before building your destroyer you need to buy at least five oil from a player or A.I. After that you'll want to make some allies, you can try allying Japan, although they might decline. If they decline, try seeing if
Australia a player. If they are, then try allying them. Most Australia's will accept as barely anyone sends them ally request.
The best scenario for you is that Japan accepts your ally request, and that most countries around you remain A.I. In a lot of games this will happen, allowing you to take islands in peace. After a while you should be able to form the
Pacific Federation. By then you should have enough manpower, money, and so on, to take what you need for the
Oceanic Union.
An alternative strategy is to instantly buy Oil (5-7 units should do nicely), then make a destroyer or two (Depends on how fast you want to run out of money), then max out and train troops. While this method works, it can quickly lead to debt if not handled properly. One you have declared war, use your destroyer(s) to begin shore bombardment. Once your troops are at the maximum trainable level, deploy them. By this stage, you should have hopefully obliterated most of the enemy home guard. If not, hold them short of getting on until at least under half the enemy home guard is left. After any war, allow your troops to recover.
It is best to start forming the Pacific Federation, as it requires mostly smaller islands, and the above strategy will work best. If you want to unite the sub-continent, it is best to have formed the Federation first. Papua New Guinea serves as a useful stepping stone to take Australia. You will want to take
New Zealand first, as it is relatively close to
Australia, and can hugely increase manpower and resource income. When it comes to taking Australia, try to avoid crossing the Outback: Many of your troops will die of attrition if you do so.
It's usually best to resist forming the Alam Melayu, as other countries (Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, China, Taiwan) are generally taken by players, and some are being playing as or have collapsed. Your best bet at this formable is late in the game, as many players will have left. (Hopefully there are only a few players left by the year 2025+, and are not playing/have taken over any countries you need for Alam Melayu)
Threats[]
Japan does not need you for the
Empire of Japan, although they might take the Marshall Islands if they want to expand more. Another threat might be any country that wants to form the
Oceanic Union, the biggest being
Australia.
Germany will need you for the
German Empire, although this is a rare occurrence.
