The Maurya Empire was a powerful and influential ancient Indian empire that existed from 321 BCE to 185 BCE. It was founded by Chandragupta Maurya and reached its zenith under the reign of Emperor Ashoka.
The Maurya Empire emerged in the northern part of the Indian subcontinent, encompassing much of present-day India, 
Pakistan, 
Nepal, and parts of 
Afghanistan and 
Bangladesh. It was the first empire to unify most of the Indian subcontinent under a single centralized administration.

Chandragupta Maurya, with the assistance of his advisor Chanakya (also known as Kautilya), overthrew the Nanda dynasty and established the Maurya Empire. Chandragupta's reign was marked by territorial expansion and the establishment of an efficient administrative system. Under Emperor Ashoka, who ruled from 268 BCE to 232 BCE, the Maurya Empire experienced its golden age. Ashoka is best known for embracing Buddhism and promoting its principles of peace, tolerance, and moral governance. He implemented policies to improve the welfare of his subjects and spread Buddhism through his empire and beyond. The Maurya Empire had a well-organized administrative structure with a centralized bureaucracy, efficient taxation system, and a network of spies and administrators known as the "Mauryan Secretariat." Ashoka's reign also witnessed significant advancements in art, architecture, and trade, including the construction of the famous Ashoka Pillars with inscriptions of his edicts. The Maurya Empire began to decline after Ashoka's death. Internal conflicts, external invasions, and regional fragmentation contributed to its disintegration. The Maurya Empire was eventually succeeded by various regional kingdoms that emerged in different parts of the subcontinent. |

The Maurya Empire has all 3 terrain biomes, which are Hilly, Semi-Mountainous, and Mountainous. Maurya has hilly areas in the central areas of South India, Southern Pakistan and Southern Afghanistan. The semi-mountainous areas are Northern Pakistan and Northern Afghanistan. Then with the mountains of the Maurya Empire coming from the mighty Himalayan Mountain Range across India, Nepal, and Bhutan.
Meanwhile, North-Eastern India and Bangladesh have the Jungle Biome, while South India, West India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan all have the Arid biome.
Economy and Manpower[]
The population of the Maurya Empire is roughly 280 million, creating a manpower cap of at least 5 million, an extremely large amount of MP that you aren't going to run out of (nearly) anytime soon. And because India is a democracy, the income is 23,901,377 dollars, a giant amount of income at base stats. If the Country Rankings stayed at base stats, the Maurya Empire would be at 2nd Place of the leaderboard, surpassing China but still being a bit behind the United States of America. With this power, you can boss around countries like China (if they are bad OR haven't formed the Qing Dynasty yet) or South-east Asia.

Strategy[]
Day 1 Preparations[]
1. As soon as you join the game as India, build 1 steel, 2 motor, 1 electronic, 1 fertilizer and 6 civilian factories then buy all the necessary resources for them. Activate the Tax Reform and Improve Infrastructure policies and justify immediately on Pakistan and Bangladesh. Research Factory Output 2 using your 500 research power at the start.
2. Activate Max Government Spending, Level 3 on Security Spending and 2 on Education Spending. Get a political leader of your choice. (Preferably either a Political Reformer or Head of Research)
3. Send 3 of your home guards to Delhi and 2 of your home guards to Kolkatta so that 2 army groups of 520k are in both Delhi and Kolkatta.
4. Mountain specialize your 520k infantry in Delhi for preparation against the mountainous terrain in Pakistan and Afghanistan. (You can mountain specialize in mountainous terrain to make it go faster
Tips for Wars[]
Keep in mind to always declare when you have 51% stability or more.
NEVER LET YOUR STABILITY DROP BELOW 47% OR ELSE YOU WILL START TO EXPERIENCE PROTESTS AND POSSIBLY COLLAPSE!
Justify in this order:
1. Pakistan and Bangladesh
2. Afghanistan and Nepal
3. 
Bhutan and another optional nation of your choosing.
War with Pakistan[]
If Pakistan is AI[]
If Pakistan is AI, follow this guide.
1. Wait till you hit 51% stability then declare war on Pakistan and send your 520k infantry into a city where both of Pakistan's home guards can get lured then wait till your units reinforce to above 500k then form a line and auto capture.
2. You should be able to force peace once Pakistan only has 3-4 cities left.
If Pakistan is a player[]
If Pakistan is a player, which is a common occurrence most of the time, follow this guide.
1. Wait till you hit 51% stability, then make around 10k tanks and declare war on Pakistan. Pakistan most of the time will either spam infantry, wasting their entire manpower pool or try to make tanks of their own. Keep in mind that you have a stronger economy than Pakistan cause you have more population and you start as democracy, so you will win 100% of the time if you know what you're doing. Don't send in the mountain specialized infantry if you prepared it before cause they will die and its a waste of manpower.
2. Snipe the capital of Pakistan using a portion of your tanks and then auto capture till you can force peace Pakistan.
War with Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bhutan[]
Bangladesh[]
1. Wait till you hit 51% stability then declare war on Bangladesh.
2. Lure their home guards into your 520k troops, wait for them to reinforce then auto capture Bangladesh.
Afghanistan[]
1. Use your 520k mountain specialized troops you used before to invade Afghanistan, reinforce your infantry first till it has 500k+ men in the unit and then declare war.
2. Take a city near Kabul, wait for Afghanistan's home guard to arrive and get destroyed.
3. Snipe Kabul and then auto capture the rest of Afghanistan, force peace them when they have 3-4 cities left.
Nepal[]
1. Use your troops from Bangladesh and form a line in the southern border of Nepal to take it as fast as possible.
2. Declare war on Nepal and auto capture it.
Bhutan[]
1. Make 40k infantry each in the 3 cities west of Bhutan in the Sikkim region of India. Mountain specialization for these units is optional but not needed.
2. Declare war on Bhutan and send in your 3 units of 40k infantry, they will make quick work of the home guard and you can capture all cities at once to instantly collapse Nepal.
3. You can now form the Maurya Empire, congrats!

Trivia[]
- The Maurya Empire formerly required Maldives and Sri Lanka, however the two countries were eventually removed from the formable at an unknown date.
- The original flag for the Maurya Empire had a swastika for peace, but it got replaced with a wheel just in case Roblox mistakes it for the swastika used by the Nazi Party.
