Nepal is a Tier II landlocked nation located in South Asia .
Background[]
Nepal is a sovereign country in South Asia. It is mainly in the Himalayas, but also includes parts of the Indo-Gangetic Plain. It is the 49th largest country by population and 93rd largest country by area. It is landlocked and borders Tibet in the north and
India in the south, east and west, while
Bangladesh is located only 27 km (17 mi) from its southeastern tip and
Bhutan is separated from it by the Indian state of Sikkim. Nepal has a diverse geography, including fertile plains, subalpine forested hills, and eight of the world's ten tallest mountains, including Mount Everest, the highest point on Earth. Kathmandu is the capital and the largest city. Nepal is a multiethnic country, with Nepali as the official language.
The name "Nepal " is first recorded in texts from the Vedic period of the Indian subcontinent, the era in ancient Nepal when Hinduism was founded, the predominant religion of the country. In the middle of the first millennium BC, Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, was born in Lumbini in southern Nepal. Parts of northern Nepal were intertwined with the culture of Tibet. The centrally located Kathmandu Valley is intertwined with the culture of Indo-Aryans and was the seat of the prosperous Newar confederacy known as Nepal Mandala. The Himalayan branch of the ancient Silk Road was dominated by the valley's traders. The cosmopolitan region developed distinct traditional art and architecture. The Constitution of Nepal, adopted in 2015, affirms Nepal as a secular federal parliamentary republic divided into seven provinces. It remains the only multi-party, fully democratic nation in the world ruled by a communist party. Nepal was admitted to the United Nations in 1955, and friendship treaties were signed with India in 1950 and the People's Republic of China in 1960. Nepal hosts the permanent secretariat of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), of which it is a founding member. Nepal is also a member of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Bay of Bengal Initiative. The military of Nepal is the fifth largest in South Asia; it is notable for its Gurkha history, particularly during the world wars, and has been a significant contributor to United Nations peacekeeping operations. |

Strategy[]
Bear in mind that Nepal is a very hard country to play as due to its isolation between China and India. It is recommended for experienced players:
If Invaded by India or China[]
If invaded by either country, station your troops as high as possible with artillery support. This will deal significant damage to the enemy troops. Try to hold out until they can't be bothered anymore. In the small chance that this succeeds, carry on with the strategy below.
If Not Invaded by India or China[]
First of all, produce Electronics. Since Nepal doesn't naturally have Gold or Copper you will have to buy them. It is okay if you go into defict because you will gain income from selling electronics. Invest in Mountain specialisation (Military Doctrines). With your new income expand your army, preparing to attack Bhutan. Your troops will be able to cross through India quickly and annex Bhutan. From here you should make Consumer Goods as soon as possible. After taking Bhutan you now have a waypoint into South East Asia. Burma isn't usually a player so invade them for their two square cities. Taking Burma will help build up to an invasion of Bangladesh. Remember, this will need a strong army due to its big homeguard. When ready, invade Bangladesh. Use artillery to help wipe out their troops, If not ready, take more of South East Asia. By now you are large enough to be considered a threat. Do what you want from now and maybe consider teaming up with a superpower like Russia or United States to invade either China or India. If not keep working on gradual expansion until you are confident enough to do it on your own.
