The Norwegian Realm, also known as Norgesveldet, while never the official name, is a term used to refer to the kingdom of Norway at its greatest expanse under King Haakon IV Haakonson who had put an end to the inner power struggles of the kingdom and was therefore, in the year 1227, able to assert his dominance over the many Norwegian settlements that had been established across the North Sea and on the British Isles.
It was one of the first European countries to have a unified code of law and the first unified Norwegian state.
It was a feudal monarchy from the start and was part of the North Sea Empire from 1028 to 1035. In 1397 the kingdom of Norway, Kingdom of Sweden, and Kingdom of Denmark joined together as a unified state called the Kalmar Union putting a permanent end to Norway's expansionism.

Norgesveldet's capital, which would be Oslo, Is covered in Hilly, The title itself is Hilly with the other tile west of Oslo being Semi-Mountainous, The title north of Oslo is Mountainous, with the coast and the surrounding tiles being Mountainous, It continues north and then stops at a Semi-Mountainous tile, It then continues being Mountainous up until the very northern tip of Mainland Norgesveldet, with that tile being Semi-Mountainous.
Norgesveldet is then Semi-Mountainous on the Faroe Islands and on
Iceland,
Greenland then continues the trend of being Semi-Mountainous and the entire island is Semi-Mountainous, Longyearbyen is completely flat. The
Isle of Man is Hilly.

Threats[]
Sweden or
Finland may invade you either for expansion or to form the
Kalmar Union.
United Kingdom may invade
Isle of Man or even attack you for the
North Sea Empire.
Denmark requires you,
Faroe Islands,
Iceland, and
Greenland for the
Danish Empire.
Germany could expand north, Possibly attacking you.
Ireland or any other Celtic nation could attempt to form the
Celtic League.
- Any other European nation attempting to form the
European Union.
Strategy[]
It is a good idea to get some allies early in the game, so try to ally Russia,
UK or if they are a player,
Sweden. Also make sure the UK doesn't take the Isle of Man through diplomacy, although if you say "please" polite enough they might not invade.
Justify a conquest war on Isle of Man and Iceland and build at least two destroyers and spawn around 70K troops (including your Home Guard so as to not waste MP) and train them with winter specialization. After the justifications are done, send one destroyer to the Isle of Man and another to Iceland. Once your troops are done training, split them in half and send the larger part to Iceland's northernmost city and use AI luring and naval bombardment to defeat their troops. Once you have taken care of Iceland's troops, send the other half to take the rest of Iceland's cities. As for the Isle of Man, bombard them with your navy until their infantry is gone and then send in troops to take the Island. Invading Isle of Man while they still have troops is bad move as their entrenchment will literally waste your troops.
Justify a war on Greenland and Faroe Islands. When you go to war with Greenland, use the same tactics as you did with Iceland and use Isle of Man's tactics for Faroe Islands.
Congratulations! You have formed the Norgesveldet but the fun doesn't end there! By taking over Denmark, Sweden and Finland as well, you can form the
Kalmar Union. And even after that, by taking over the UK, you can form the
North Sea Empire!
