— Description of forming Raj of Sarawak |
The Raj of Sarawak is a releasable formable of Sarawak, it requires Sarawak to capture the starting nation of
Brunei. It is located in Southeast Asia
.
Background[]
The following is taken from Wikipedia which is licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0. You can view the article it was taken from here.
The Raj of Sarawak, also Kingdom of Sarawak or State of Sarawak, located in the northwestern part of the island of Borneo, was an independent state with a treaty of protection with the United Kingdom starting from 1888. It was established as an independent state from a series of land concessions acquired by an Englishman, James Brooke, from the Sultan of
Brunei.
Sarawak was recognised as an independent Sovereign state by the
United States in 1850 and by the United Kingdom in 1864. The Kingdom is now the
Malaysian state of Sarawak.
Under the Brooke family's leadership, Sarawak was transformed into a distinct political entity with its own administration. The Brookes ruled Sarawak as independent monarchs, with the title of Rajah, from 1841 to 1946. They established a system of governance and implemented various reforms, including the abolition of piracy, promotion of trade, and the development of infrastructure and education.
The Rajahs of Sarawak, particularly the first Rajah, James Brooke, and his nephew, Charles Brooke, played significant roles in shaping the history and development of Sarawak. Their rule was largely characterized by an emphasis on maintaining peace, stability, and economic progress in the region.
In 1946, after the end of World War II, the third and last Rajah, Charles Vyner Brooke, ceded Sarawak to the British Crown. Sarawak then became a British Crown Colony until it joined the Federation of Malaysia in 1963.

Strategy[]
Liberation[]
To form the Raj of Sarawak, you need to play as Sarawak. Sarawak is a releasable of
Malaysia, so you need to free Sarawak before you can play. Declare a liberation war on
Cambodia, and force peace them, conceding the terms to free
Sabah,
Johor, and
Sarawak. Once you liberate all these countries, play as Sarawak. You are 25% done with this formable now.
Preparation[]
To form this, you need to invade Brunei. Because Brunei only has 1 city, it will be hard to invade them because of their entrenchment. To get more money from tax, invade
Sabah with 10,000 infantry. Then, you should have enough money to upkeep 1 destroyer. Once you invade Sabah, you should buy your destroyer. Then, destroy Brunei's homeguard until there is nothing left. You may need to build a military group, and choose the Light Flotilla doctrine, in naval. Once Brunei's homeguard is gone, disband your destroyer, and buy 10,000 infantry to take Bandar Seri Begawan. Then, annex Bandar Seri Begawan, and then you can form this formable.
Trivia[]
- Sarawak forms the formable despite it being ruled by a dynasty of British origin due to the fact that it is seen favourably in Sarawak and people even protested its removal and conversion to a crown colony.
- Brunei is included in the formable as it was planned to be incorporated into the State.[1]
