The rankings is a system used to position each nation's economic power on a global leaderboard. The first three countries are the superpowers, the next 17 nations are regional powers, and everything below 20th place is a minor power. The first twenty also have a special frame outlining their flag in the Diplomacy view: silver if it is a regional power, and gold if it is a superpower.
The ranking order is primarily determined by each nation's income, excluding the balance (how much money is gained per tick). To view the income, one can click on the 'Economy' interface. Only tax and resource income counts towards rankings, other sources of income do not. Rank is also affected by population.

Trivia[]
- A nation's ranking does not provide any additional benefits or drawbacks. However, higher rankings could project more power, superiority, and influence on a global scale. Additionally, in some cases, a higher ranking, especially as a superpower, could create a psychological deterrent from potential aggressors declaring war and invading.
