Removed Formables are formables that were previously implemented into Rise of Nations, but have since been removed for various reasons, stretching from overextended territories, lack of historical context/background, joke formables, being too easy, or simply not making enough sense to be kept in the game. This page lists every removed formable in order of the update they were deleted in. The first three formables to be removed were 
Trio Java (joke), the 
Filipino Empire (lack of historical basis), and the 
German Reich (balancing), all on the 23rd of December 2020 update.
Trio Java[]
Trio Java was a Botswana formable that required Namibia and Angola. It has no historical basis and was added as a joke by the creator, however it was initially suggested by another user, J0HNCENA515808. It was removed by popular demand.
Filipino Empire[]
The Filipino Empire was a formable for the Philippines that required most of Southeast Asia. It was removed by popular demand, as well as the formable's origins being from an alternate history wiki that in universe describes 16th President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte as the Emperor of the Filipino Empire. It was replaced with the Maphilindo Confederation.
German Reich[]
Contrary to popular belief, Hyperant has confirmed that Roblox was 100% okay with the German Reich formable and only removed it due to balancing reasons.
Patagonia (Formable)[]
Patagonia was a formable for Chile and Argentina that required the two nations. It was removed from the game after the addition of Patagonia as a releasable.
Al Andalus[]
Al Andalus was a formable for Gibraltar which required the Iberian Peninsula along with Morocco. It was removed from the game after the addition of Andalusia as a releasable, and because Al Andalus was historically muslim, while Gibraltar is not.
Ajuran Sultamate[]
The Ajuran Sultanate was a formable for Somalia, which required Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Kenya. It was removed because the historical borders did not extend very far outside of Somalia.
Ashanti Empire[]
The Ashanti Empire was a formable for Ghana, which required Cote d'Ivoire and Togo. It was removed as the historical Ashanti Empire did not extend outside of Ghana.
Fang Federation[]
The Fang Federation was a formable for Equatorial Guinea, which required Gabon. It was removed due to it not historically being a country and being based on an ethnic group.
Gbaya Empire[]
The Gbaya Empire was a formable for the Central African Republic, which required the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Congo, and Cameroon. It was due to it historically not being a country and based on an ethnic group.
Gold Coast[]
The Gold Coast was a formable for Benin, Cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo. It required all the nations stated above. It was removed due to the Gold Coast historically being only the nation of Ghana, and the Gold Coast was a colonial name.
Empire of Gabon[]
The Empire of Gabon was a formable for Gabon, which required Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, and Sao Tome and Principe. It was removed due to it being a fictional empire.
Khoisan[]
Khoisan was a formable for Botswana and Namibia, which required both countries stated along with South Africa. It was removed due to it historically not being a country and being based on an ethnic group.
Kingdom of Dahomey[]
The Kingdom of Dahomey was a formable for Benin, which required Togo. It was removed because the historical Dahomey kingdom did not extend outside of Benin.
Kingdom of Luanda[]
The Kingdom of Luanda was a formable for Angola, which required Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was later replaced by the Kingdom of Lunda, formed by Lunda-Tchokwe.
Kingdom of Merina[]
The Kingdom of Merina was a formable for Madagascar, which required Mayotte, Comoros, Reunion, and Mauritius. It was removed because the historical Merinan kingdom did not extend outside of Madagascar.
Maghreb Union[]
The Maghreb Union was a formable for Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Mauritania, and Tunisia. It required all nations states before along with Western Sahara. It was removed due to it being a political and economic union. However, it is planned to eventually be replaced by a formable called 
Maghreb Federation.
Mandingo Federation[]
The Mandingo Federation was a formable for Mali, Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, and Gambia. It required all the nations stated before. It was removed due to being based on an ethnic group.
Nile Empire[]
The Nile Empire was a formable for Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. It was removed due to it historically not being a country and being based on all the nations in which the Nile River flows.
Pepper Coast[]
The Pepper Coast was a formable for Liberia, which required Cote d'Ivoire. It may have been removed due to it historically not being a country and instead being a name given by European traders to the area.
Saharan Kingdom[]
The Saharan Kingdom was a formable for Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Eritrea, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, Sudan, Tunisia, and Western Sahara. It required all the nations stated above. It was removed due to it historically not being a country and being based on the region of the Sahara Desert in Northern Africa.
Sahrawi Sultanate[]
The Sahrawi Sultanate was a formable for Mauritania and Western Sahara. It required both nations stated before along with Algeria, Morocco, and Mali. It was removed due to it historically not being a country and being based on an ethnic group.
Tuareg State[]
The Tuareg State was a formable for Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Algeria, and Tunisia. It required all nations stated before. It may have been removed due to it historically not being a country and being based on an ethnic group.
Upper Volta[]
Upper Volta was a formable for Burkina Faso, which required Benin, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Togo. It may have been removed due to it historically only being the country of Burkina Faso.
Wadai Sultanate[]
The Wadai Sultanate was a formable for Chad and the Central African Republic, which required both aforementioned nations along with Sudan. It was removed because the historical sultanate did not extend outside of Chad.
Zaire[]
Zaire was a formable for the Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which required both nations stated earlier. It was removed due to it historically only being the country of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Alpine Republic[]
The Alpine Republic was a formable for Switzerland, which required Austria and Liechtenstein. It was removed due to it historically not being a country, and rather based on the Alpine mountains.
Arabia[]
Arabia was a formable for Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. It required all the nations stated before. It was removed due to it historically not being a country and being based on all the countries in the Arabian Peninsula.
Assyria[]
Assyria was a formable for Iraq, which required Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. It was removed due to the addition of Assyria as a releasable and the Assyrian Empire being the newer version of the formable.
Caribbean Federation[]
The Caribbean Federation was a formable for Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Cuba, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago and the Turks and Caicos Islands. It required all nations stated above. It was removed due to it historically not being a country and being a federation based on the Caribbean islands.
Chibchan State[]
The Chibchan State was a formable for Costa Rica and Panama, which required both nations along with Colombia, Honduras, and Nicaragua. It was removed due to being based on an ethnic group.
Empire of Yemen[]
The Empire of Yemen was a formable for Yemen, which required Oman, United Arab Emirates, Somalia, Eritrea, and Djibouti. It was removed due to it being a fictional formable.
Gaza Empire[]
The Gaza Empire was a formable for Mozambique, which required Zimbabwe. It was removed because the historical empire did not extend outside of the Gaza Region in Mozambique.
Guiana Union[]
The Guiana Union was a formable for Guyana, French Guiana, and Suriname. It required all nations stated before. It was removed due to it historically not being a country and being based on The Guianas region.
Hittite[]
Hittite was a formable for Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, and Cyprus. It required all nations stated before. It was removed due to the historical Hittites having no ties with the modern-day countries, as well as being overextended.
Kingdom of Jerusalem[]
The Kingdom of Jerusalem was a formable for Israel and Cyprus, which required both nations stated before along with Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. It was removed due to the historical kingdom being a crusader state.
Kingdom of the Isles[]
The Kingdom of the Isles was a formable for the Isle of Man, which required the United Kingdom. It was removed due to the fact it was overxtended.
Levant[]
The Levant was a formable for Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan. It required all the nations stated before along with Israel. It was due to it historically not being a country and being based on the region of the Levant.
Ruthenia[]
Ruthenia was a formable for Belarus, which required Ukraine and Poland. It was removed due to it being a historical term for Kievan Rus.
Spartan Empire[]
The Spartan Empire was a formable for Greece, which required Albania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Montenegro. It was removed because the historical empire did not extend outside Greece.
Trucial State[]
The Trucial State was a formable for United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Bahrain. It was removed due to being a colonial protectorate of the United Kingdom.
Bani Utbah[]
Bani Utbah was a formable for Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar, and required the mentioned countries and Saudi Arabia. It was removed due to historically not being a country,
Butalmapu[]
Butalmapu was a formable for Wallmapu, and required Patagonia. It was removed due to being historically a confederation in an event of battle, and because the movement was fictional.
Central Asian Union[]
The Central Asian Union was a formable for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. It was removed due to being based on an economic union. The formable was replaced by the Emirate of Bukhara, Samanid Empire, Seljuk Empire and Turkestan.
Kingdom of Bora Bora[]
The Kingdom of Bora Bora was a formable for French Polynesia, and required Tonga, Cook Islands, Samoa and American Samoa. It was removed due to the historical kingdom never extending outside of French Polynesia.
Kingdom of Fiji[]
The Kingdom of Fiji was a formable for Fiji, and required New Caledonia, Tonga and Vanuatu.It was removed due to the historical kingdom never extending outside of Fiji.
Kingdom of Lombards[]
The Kingdom of Lombards was a formable for San Marino, and required Italy. It was removed due to the kingdom having no connection with San Marino nor modern-day Lombardy.
Kingdom of Thrace[]
The Kingdom of Thrace was a formable for Bulgaria, and required Greece and Macedonia. It was removed due to the kingdom having no connection to Bulgaria.
Pacific Federation[]
The Pacific Federation was a formable for Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Vanuatu, requiring the same countries. It was removed due to being based on a region.
Oceanic Union[]
The Oceanic Union was a formable for Australia, American Samoa, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, New Zealand, Palau, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu, requiring the same nations. It was removed due to being based on a continent. It was replaced by the Australasian Federation and the Tu'i Manu'a Confederacy.
Sumerian Empire[]
The Sumerian Empire was a formable for Kuwait, and required Iraq and Syria. It was removed due to being overextended, and was replaced by the Akkadian Empire.
