The Rise of Nations Staff Team serves as the vanguard of moderation, dedicated to maintaining law and order and stability within the community. While each staff member has specific responsibilities according to their rank, they all share a common duty: to uphold the rules, ensure smooth operations across both the game and the official Discord, and support peace and security for all members.

Staff Benefits[]
Staff members have some benefits and perks as a staff member, including:
- Access to an exclusive moderation console in-game.
- Access to an exclusive [[STAFF]] title in-game.
- This is one of the primary ways a staff member can prove their legitimacy in-game.
- Free access to all skins, without completing the skins' requirements.
- Permissions to exclusive powers and channels in the Discord.
- When a staff member officially retires, they are eligible to receive a retired staff role based on the length of their service:
- Retired Staff: This role is granted to all staff members who have officially retired (except Junior Moderators who retire), regardless of their length of service. However, staff members who served less than a year will not qualify for the following roles:
- Seasoned Staff: Awarded to those who served for over one continuous year.
- Veteran Staff: Granted to staff who served for a total of two cumulative years.
- Legacy Staff: Reserved for those who served for three consecutive years.

However, while he has full control, he typically focuses on the development side of the game and relies on a dedicated Staff Team to manage the community, ensuring smooth operations and safety across all areas. |

The Head of Staff (HoS) is the second highest-ranking member below Hyperant, responsible for overseeing all staff and community operations. The Head of Staff makes final decisions and works closely with mostly Senior Administrators for support and advise. |
| Senior Administrators | The Senior Administrators (Sr. Admins) are part of a small, elite group with the third highest authority in the staff hierarchy. They manage a wide range of operations that surpass those of regular administrative powers, such as handling ban appeals, reviewing staff applications, appointing staff members, and conducting large-scale community decisions, events, and critical issues. They also supervise the entire staff team and work with the Head of Staff. |
| Administrators | Administrators (Admins) are experienced staff members with advanced powers and influence across the community. They handle complex tasks, inquiries, and situations that go beyond the scope of regular or Senior Moderators. They also supervise semi manage the moderators below them in certain situations, given the permissions to do so. |
| Moderators | Senior Moderators (Sr. Mods) are proficient moderators with elevated permissions and authority. While they enforce rules like regular moderators, they are trusted with more significant responsibilities in maintaining order within the community. |
| Moderators | Moderators (Mods) are the backbone of the team. They manage general inquiries, enforce community rules, patrol their respective divisions, and help resolve basic conflicts to ensure smooth operations.
They have the authority to warn, mute, kick, and ban users on Discord. In the game, their powers also include warning, kicking, and banning players. |
| Junior Moderators | Junior Moderators (Jr. Mods) are new hires undergoing a trial period to assess their suitability for the staff team. As the lowest-ranking moderators, they have limited permissions and responsibilities while learning the ropes.
They can only warn, mute, and kick users in both the game and on Discord. |
Specialized Staff Roles[]
Branch Managers[]
Four additional staff positions function as specialized branches of the main staff team: the Head of Events, Head of Wiki, Lead Organizer, and Hyperant. These distinguished roles and individuals serve as the chief executives for their respective areas—events, wiki, tournaments, and suggestions.
While Hyperant, as the creator of the game, retains ultimate authority over all branches, he primarily focuses his management on the suggestions community, as it is the driving force behind new innovations and updates to the game. Additionally, the Administration conducts proper oversight of these divisions, maintaining a system of checks and balances to uphold the community's standards.
Branch Staff[]
There are also additional staff positions that fall under the broader moderation structure. While these staff members do not have the same permissions or authority as regular staff, they hold considerable influence within their respective departments, often surpassing regular staff in terms of departmental authority—though they are subordinate to the Administrators+.
Unlike the main staff team, branch staff do not receive in-game benefits or powers, as their authority is confined exclusively to their specialized area of responsibility.

- Gamenight Staff are categorized under the Events Department.
- "Pseudo Staff" under the wiki category refers to Wiki Contributor, a rank that is divided into two sub-categories: Wiki Editors and Guide Makers.
- Wiki Editors are individuals who have demonstrated consistent activity and commitment to the wiki. This sub-rank generally focuses more on wiki and editorial experience than game knowledge.
- Guide Makers are experienced players who specialize in creating RoN guides, which are then published by the Wiki Editors on the wiki. This sub-rank generally focuses more on game knowledge than wiki or editorial experience.
- Although both roles do not have moderation powers and generally contrast with each other, these contributors are collectively involved in confidential projects, discussions, and other wiki-related matters. They are vital to the development and upkeep of the wiki, but their authority is limited to editorial and in-game activities.

Staff Appointment Process[]
Individuals typically join the staff team by accessing the Staff Applications server and completing the moderator application before it closes, which is released every few months. After submission, applicants must wait approximately a week for the results to see if they have been accepted or denied.
If accepted, they receive the Junior Moderator rank and must undergo around a one-month trial period to assess their suitability for full integration into the team. Failure to meet the required standards during this trial will result in dismissal from the staff team.
Additionally, there is a less common alternative for former staff members who have retired. If they choose to return after a brief period following their retirement, they may be reinstated to their original rank.
Promotion and Demotion[]
Staff members can be promoted if they demonstrate strong proficiency, professionalism, and dedication to their duties. Conversely, staff who show insufficient activity or violated one or more of the community and/or staff rules, may face demotion or removal from the team.

Staff members from external departments are excluded from this list, as it focuses solely on the main staff team.

Ban Appeals[]
To appeal a ban from the Discord or the game, you must join the Appeals Discord Server. Once in the server, read and study the entire appeals information, then create a ticket and provide details about your ban, including when it occurred, a sincere apology for your actions leading to your ban, and a rationale for why you believe you should be unbanned. This information will be reviewed by the Appeals Support Team, Senior Administrators, and the Head of Staff.
