Rwanda is a Tier II nation in Africa . It is among the weakest nations in Africa and is a minor power. It borders the
Democratic Republic of the Congo,
Burundi,
Tanzania and
Uganda. It is very rarely ever played by any players and is often overshadowed by other African powers such as the
Democratic Republic of the Congo,
Egypt,
Nigeria and
South Africa.
Background[]
Rwanda, formerly Ruanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a landlocked country in the Great Rift Valley where the African Great Lakes region and East Africa converge. One of the smallest countries on the African mainland, its capital city is Kigali. Located a few degrees south of the Equator, Rwanda is bordered by Uganda,
Tanzania,
Burundi, and the
Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is highly elevated with its geography dominated by mountains in the west and savanna to the east, with numerous lakes throughout the country. The climate is temperate to subtropical, with two rainy seasons and two dry seasons each year.
The population is young and predominantly rural, with a density among the highest in Africa. Rwandans are drawn from just one cultural and linguistic group, the Banyarwanda, although within this group there are three subgroups: the Hutu, Tutsi and Twa. Christianity is the largest religion in the country; the principal language is Kinyarwanda, spoken by most Rwandans, with English and French serving as additional official languages. The sovereign state of Rwanda has a presidential system of government. The country has been governed by a strict administrative hierarchy since precolonial times; there are five provinces delineated by borders drawn in 2006. Rwanda has been governed as a unitary presidential system with a bicameral parliament ruled by the Rwandan Patriotic Front since 1994. The country is a member of the African Union, the United Nations, the Commonwealth of Nations, COMESA, OIF and the East African Community. |

Military[]
Romania has a starting home guard of 20k Infantry. Rwanda's starting manpower limit is 60,000. Early game Rwanda fields a very weak army and cannot field a navy, tanks and will find great difficulty in fielding artillery and aircraft due to their expenses. The small military can make quick use of terrain and biomes to inflict very high casualties on larger forces. This weakness for the most part, doesn't matter, as the country is small, distant and for most intents and purposes, useless.

Geography[]
The geography of Rwanda is among its biggest strengths. It has the Jungle biome and hilly terrain covering the entire country and extending outwards beyond the country, giving Rwanda an entrenchment bonus of 3.7x, giving it considerable defensive advantages. Rwanda is landlocked, the closest distance to the shore is in Tanzania, roughly 1000 kilometers from Rwanda's capital. As a result, naval units cannot attack Rwandan core territory.
Cities[]
Rwanda consists of 11 cities, the capital city being Kigali. Rwanda has a population of 1,619,887.

Strategy[]
Rwanda starts in a rather tough starting position, but skilled players can maneuver out of it into a more favourable light. Starting with invading Burundi to support a weak economy, develop an electronics industry with an optional fertilizer factory to compliment that. You will also need to secure your country against early game invasion, Rwanda is very dense and hence very easy to protect by simply building fortifications on your capital and defending it with infantry. Note that due to the small country size, one can safely put spending to its highest
You will want to grab every positive manpower modifier you can get your hands on, losses in combat experience can be supplemented with the natural terrain and will in most cases still overpower enemy units. While attaining manpower modifiers invade Uganda, this can be done easily by using it's terrain against it, you can bait out the enemy then crush them before taking the country. Uganda itself is not a country very rich in manpower so it can be quickly drained, but be careful, Rwanda's can too if not properly managed. It is important that you always have the terrain work in your favour and not the opposite way round.
After this muster additional forces and invade Kenya. Effective management can secure victory in the same fashion as
Uganda. Then
Tanzania, As choice of ideology, communism is best suited to you.
From here you can expand in any given direction, though it may be wise to secure your western border before you do anything.
