— Description of forming Saharan Kingdom |
The Saharan Kingdom was a formable that could be created by all of the nations encompassing the Saharan Desert in North Africa . It was removed from the game on the update of November 11, 2022, along with many other African formables.
Background[]
There was no background, as the Saharan Kingdom was a regional formable and never was a political entity.
The Sahara is a desert on the continent of Africa . With an area of 9,200,000 square kilometers (3,600,000 sq mi), it is the largest hot desert in the world and the third largest desert overall, smaller only than the deserts of Antarctica
and the Arctic. The name 'Sahara' is derived from the Arabic word for "desert", ṣaḥra
The desert comprises much of North Africa, excluding the fertile region on the Mediterranean Sea coast, the Atlas Mountains of the Maghreb, and the Nile Valley in Egypt and
Sudan. It stretches from the Red Sea in the east and the Mediterranean in the north to the Atlantic Ocean in the west, where the landscape gradually changes from desert to coastal plains. To the south, it was bounded by the Sahel, a belt of semi-Arid tropical savanna around the
Niger River valley and the Sudan Region of Sub-Saharan Africa. The Sahara can be divided into several regions, including the western Sahara, the central Ahaggar Mountains, the Tibesti Mountains, the Aïr Mountains, the Ténéré desert, and the Libyan Desert.
For several hundred thousand years, the Sahara has alternated between desert and savanna grassland in a 20,000 year cycle caused by the precession of the Earth's axis as it rotates around the Sun, which changes the location of the North African Monsoon. The area was next expected to become green in about 15,000 years (17,000 CE).
Base Statistics[]
The Saharan Kingdom would have been an economic powerhouse once formed. It would make $5,377,258 every turn, which was more than Mexico and
Russia. It would place 6th on the rankings. It would be further improved by switching to democracy and researching, or you could try making the
African Union
Resources[]
The Saharan Kingdom produced every resource in the game except Tungsten and
Diamond.

Geography[]
Terrain[]
The terrain of the Saharan Kingdom was mostly flat.
However, there were spots of hills and mountains, like the Atlas mountains over in Morocco and
Algeria, and the Itbay region in
Egypt,
Sudan, and
Eritrea.
Biome[]
The biome of the Saharan Kingdom was largely Arid but it was temperate in some regions in all countries needed.
Cities[]
The Saharan Kingdom had 283 cities, with 14 of them being square ones.
Borders[]
The Saharan Kingdom would border Israel and
Palestine if it were released (Palestine was a releasable at that time) in the East,
Spain in the North (due to the cities of Ceuta and Melilla) in the North,
Gambia in the West (Used to border
Western Sahara),
Guinea-Bissau,
Guinea,
Cote d'Ivoire,
Burkina Faso,
Benin,
Nigeria,
Cameroon,
Central African Republic,
South Sudan,
Djibouti, and
Ethiopia in the South
Strategy[]
You should start off as Egypt, immediately trade 2
Tungsten and build a
Steel, a
Motor Parts and an
Electronics factory, and sell all 16 units of electronics. Do all this as quick as possible.
Make another 30k infantry to go with your starting military, justify on Libya and
Tunisia and while you're waiting, train your infantry. Send your men for Misratah by sea, and let the enemy go for you, take Tripoli, spread your army and auto capture. Do the same with Tunisia. Until the justifications have finished justify on
Algeria and
Morocco. Take Algeria and Morocco with the same method (lure their home guard and go for capital).
Make tanks, justify on Sudan and
Chad, and train both your infantry and your tanks. Declare on Sudan and take the first city that was closest to your border, when their infantry are down, take all of the Sudanese Nile cities and eventually their capital. Once that was done, use auto capture, declare on Chad make your infantry go thorough the occupied lands of Sudan all the way to the Chadian border, use the method you were always using and auto capture. Justify on
Niger and
Burkina Faso, take them with your tanks and as for your Infantry station them on the nearest city with
Eritrea. Take Niger and Burkina Faso and justify on
Mali and
Mauritania. Eventually take them.
Take Senegal and the
Western Sahara. Once that was taken, take Eritrea with the Infantry you have stationed earlier and form the Saharan Kingdom!
Threats[]
Italy requires North Africa
for the
Roman Empire and
Eritrea for the
Italian Empire.
France requires half of the Saharan Kingdom's requirements for the
French Empire.
Spain requires
Morocco and
Western Sahara for the
Spanish Empire.
- The
United Kingdom requires
Sudan and
Egypt for the
British Empire.
- All nations from the Middle East
require North Africa
for the
Islamic Caliphate and
Arab League
- The United States occasionally colonizes an African country for a colonial outpost.
Nigeria requires
Chad for the
Sokoto Caliphate and often expands into the Sahara. Nigeria also needed
Senegal for the
Gold Coast.
- The Arid biome and heavily spread out cities causing attrition.
