The Samanid Empire, also known as the Samanian Empire, Samanid dynasty, Samanid Amirate, or simply as the Samanids, was a Persianate Sunni Muslim empire, of Iranian dehqan origin. The empire was centred in Khorasan and Transoxiana; at its greatest extent encompassing Persia and Central Asia, from 819 to 999.

The Samanid dynasty was founded by Saman Khuda, his descendants became rulers of the Samanid Empire. He was a dehqan of Iranian origin from the village of Saman in Balkh province, in present-day northern Afghanistan. The earliest appearance of the Samanid family appears to be in Greater Khorasan rather than Transoxiana. In some sources, the Samanids claimed to be descended from the House of Mihran of Bahram Chobin. It has been claimed that the House of Saman belonged to the Oghuz Turks, although the veracity is unlikely. Originally a Zoroastrian, Saman Khuda converted to Islam during the governorship of Asad ibn Abdallah al-Qasri in Khorasan, and named his oldest son as Asad ibn Saman in the governor's honour. In 819, the governor of Greater Khorasan, Ghassan ibn Abbad, rewarded the four sons of Asad ibn Saman for their aid against the rebel Rafi ibn al-Layth. Nuh ibn Asad received Samarkand; Ahmad ibn Asad received Farghana; Yahya ibn Asad received Tashkent, and Ilyas ibn Asad received Herat.

Threats

In forming this formable, Russia poses a threat due to you being required to from the Russian Empire or Soviet Union. you could also be attacked by another nation in the region, such as Afghanistan for the Kushan Empire or Kazakhstan for the Turkic Khaganate, or anyone making Turkestan.

Strategy

To make this formable, choose Tajikistan. make 2 electronics factories (use factory output 2 or public service act, or both) and sell them for money. make a steel factory, motor factory, and fertilizer factory, then make tanks while making 3 consumer goods factories and sell them for money. use your tanks to kill Kyrgyzstan as its the weakest thing around. then invade Uzbekistan or Afghanistan (your choice) and let them core.

Make another battalion of tanks and invade Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan at the same time. if Russia or China is there already, try to trade them the land for money, if you cannot successfully do this, you are screwed. if you can, congrats! You have one more step, invading Iran, which, by now, is probably not a player, so you can spam infantry and invade (pretty self-explanatory). Once you are done, you have finished! You formed Samanid Empire!
