Background[]
South Korea, officially known as the Republic of Korea, is a country located in East Asia on the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. It shares its northern border with North Korea. The capital and largest city of South Korea is Seoul.
South Korea is a democratic country with a presidential system. It has a mixed economy and is one of the world's major economies known for its advancements in technology, manufacturing, and exports. It is a member of several international organizations, including the United Nations (UN), World Trade Organization (WTO), and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The Korean Peninsula has a long and complex history, and South Korea has experienced significant political and economic transformations. Following World War II, Korea was divided into two separate countries: North Korea, which adopted a communist system, and South Korea, which developed as a capitalist democracy. South Korea went through rapid industrialization and economic growth, known as the "Miracle on the Han River," from the 1960s onwards. It became a global leader in various industries, including electronics, automobiles, shipbuilding, and entertainment (K-pop and Korean dramas). South Korea is known for its rich cultural heritage, including traditional arts, music, and cuisine. It has made significant contributions to popular culture through the global success of K-pop music, Korean dramas, and movies. The country also faces ongoing geopolitical challenges due to the divided Korean Peninsula and tensions with North Korea. Efforts for peace and reunification have been ongoing, including diplomatic negotiations and exchanges between the two Koreas. |

Threats[]
China - will try and take everyone around them including you, although you are usually not first on their kill list.
Japan - will try to invade you to form the
Empire of Japan
North Korea - weaker than you but will still try and invade you to form
Korea or
Goguryeo.
Russia - Will sometimes expand into
Manchuria and sometimes further if China collapses, although this is rare to happen.
Taiwan - Will sometimes expand and invade you once they formed the
Republic of China.
Mongolia - Will try to invade you to form the
Yuan Dynasty and the
Mongol Empire
- Any releasable from
China if it collapse.
Strategy[]
You need to ally China, because realistically you will not be able to win against them. If
China is inexperienced they will most likely agree, if they don't ally you, you are screwed, so you should abandon ship, unless you have another superpower ally or regional superpower ally like
Japan,
Russia, The USA, or
India.
Japan can be fended off with a navy, artillery, and air force (optional). Japan usually has a strong navy so you will usually have to go to China for help. Use submarines to sink their troops but make sure your submarines avoid their destroyers. If possible make battleships or aircraft carriers to bombard them rapidly. Destroyers are efficient for destroying submarines and troops, but submarines can destroy troops faster. Frigates are a nice option as they are inexpensive. If
China does not ally you they will most likely fight
Japan and then take over you. If
Japan and
China, mainly
China, do not disapprove, (unless you have a strong military and you can fight), you then you should take
North Korea,
Taiwan,
Hong Kong and
Macau if possible, but are most likely not due to
China. With one of these factors, taking
Japan will be easy:
China's aid,
Japan is an NPC, or you have a strong navy and army (if Japan is a player), you can invade
Japan, otherwise back away. If
Japan,
North Korea,
Taiwan,
Hong Kong, and
Macau are not available go for Southeast Asia and take as many countries as possible. Afterwards go for anything efficient for you.
Formables[]
South Korea can form Korea by annexing all of
North Korea.
